Pedestrian protecting airbag apparatus
[Problem] To improve the energy absorption amount in a region for covering a pillar without increasing the gas generation amount of an inflator and without causing a shortage in the energy absorption amount in a region for covering the vicinity of the end on the hood side of a front glass. [Resolution means] A pedestrian protecting airbag apparatus includes: an airbag for covering the vicinity of the end on the hood side of a front glass along with at least a part on the lower side of a pillar; and an inflator for supplying gas to the airbag during a collision. The airbag includes: a center chamber for covering the vicinity of the end on the hood side of the front glass; a pillar cover chamber for covering at least the part on the lower side of the pillar; and a support chamber for expanding between this pillar cover chamber and the pillar.

Dynamic Safe Storage of Vehicle Content
Systems and methods are provided for dynamically protecting transportable articles in vehicles. A system for dynamically protecting a transportable article in a vehicle may include one or more processors and non-volatile memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to access sensed data representative of at least one of a characteristic or a trait of a transportable article in a vehicle, determine based on the data the at least one of the characteristic or the trait of the transportable article, select one or more article protection components based on the determined at least one of the characteristic or the trait of the transportable article, and deploy the selected one or more article protection components to protect the transportable article.
Head protection airbag device
A head protection airbag device includes: an airbag configured to cover a window of a vehicle; and a synthetic resin case configured to store a folding completed body of the airbag. The case includes a case body, and a pressing piece formed to partially protrude downward from an upper edge side of the case body and formed to cover a vehicle inner side of the folding completed body. The pressing piece has a band-like outer shape having a width direction substantially along a front and rear direction, and is configured to be able to press the folding completed body toward the case body so that the pressing piece can be bent with respect to the case body and the pressing piece can maintain a folded shape of the folding completed body, the pressing piece formed substantially along a vehicle interior surface of the folding completed body.
Vehicle stowage bin
An apparatus includes a stowage bin defining a compartment and an airbag mounted to the stowage bin. The airbag is deployable to an inflated position. When the airbag is in the inflated position, the airbag at least partially encloses the compartment. When in the inflated position, the airbag retains items, if any, that are stored in the compartment by an occupant of the vehicle.

FLOOR-MOUNTED OCCUPANT RESTRAINT SYSTEM
A restraint system is provided for helping to protect at least one occupant of a vehicle having a floor and a cabin with at least one seat for receiving each occupant. The restraint system includes an airbag extending from a first end mounted in the vehicle floor to a second end. The airbag includes a first airbag portion curved away from the at least one occupant and a second airbag portion extending towards the at least one occupant. The airbag has a stored condition and is inflatable to a deployed condition aligned with the at least one occupant. A tether is connected to the airbag and the floor for limiting relative forward-rearward movement of the airbag in response to occupant penetration into the airbag.

Vehicle seat side airbag
A restraint system includes a seat, a center console spaced from the seat in a cross-vehicle direction, and an airbag inflatable to an inflated position. The airbag in the inflated position includes a first leg elongated in the cross-vehicle direction and spaced from the center console. The airbag in the inflated position includes a second leg supported by the seat and elongated from the first leg towards the center console in a direction transverse to the cross-vehicle direction.
