Active bolster
An active bolster for a vehicle is provided, wherein the bolster comprises an expansible hollow interior that is inflatable and is self-supporting in both an inflated and in an uninflated position. The bolster has an inflator module for inflating the expansible hollow interior. The bolster has an inner wall for projecting inwardly into the vehicle and away from the side of the vehicle on inflation of the expansible hollow interior. The bolster may have a relatively non-expansible component located between a first expansible chamber and a second expansible chamber. The bolster may comprise an outer wall having an attachment portion for attaching the outer wall to a portion of the side of the vehicle.
OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE
There is provided an occupant protection device for protecting an occupant seated on a seat, including: an airbag folded and accommodated in a bag shape made of a flexible sheet material; and a holding belt portion that is wrapped around a hip of the occupant and holds the folded airbag. The airbag is configured to, when the airbag is activated, allow an inflation gas to flow thereinto, and inflate to protrude forward and upward from the holding belt portion, and includes an upper body restraining surface capable of restraining an upper body of the occupant, on a rear surface side, when inflation is completed, and a vehicle body side member abutting surface that abuts against a vehicle body side member provided in front of the seat to be capable of ensuring a reaction force of the airbag when the occupant is restrained, on a front surface side.
OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE
There is provided an occupant protection device for protecting an occupant seated on a seat, including: an airbag folded and accommodated in a bag shape made of a flexible sheet material; and a holding belt portion that is wrapped around a hip of the occupant and holds the folded airbag. Airbag module
An airbag module includes an inflatable folded or rolled airbag, a gas generator for inflating the airbag. The airbag module includes a metallic bracket with a U-shaped cross section, which embraces the folded or rolled airbag, and which includes at least two attachment points for an attachment of the airbag module at two distanced attachment points at a vehicle fixed structure. The metallic bracket is designed to be attached with facing the open space between two opposing legs of the U-shaped cross section towards the interior of the vehicle.
Airbag module
An airbag module includes an inflatable folded or rolled airbag, a gas generator for inflating the airbag. The airbag module includes a metallic bracket with a U-shaped cross section, which embraces the folded or rolled airbag, and which includes at least two attachment points for an attachment of the airbag module at two distanced attachment points at a vehicle fixed structure. The metallic bracket is designed to be attached with facing the open space between two opposing legs of the U-shaped cross section towards the interior of the vehicle.
VEHICLE TABLE WITH DEPLOYABLE AIRBAG
A vehicle interior includes an interior compartment and a table in the interior compartment. The table has a top surface including a perimeter. An airbag extends around the perimeter of the top surface of the table. The airbag is inflatable in response to a vehicle impact to limit the likelihood of an occupant impacting the table and/or to absorb energy from the occupant during the vehicle impact.
VEHICLE TABLE WITH DEPLOYABLE AIRBAG
A vehicle interior includes an interior compartment and a table in the interior compartment. The table has a top surface including a perimeter. An airbag extends around the perimeter of the top surface of the table. The airbag is inflatable in response to a vehicle impact to limit the likelihood of an occupant impacting the table and/or to absorb energy from the occupant during the vehicle impact.
Curtain airbag assemblies for utility vehicles
An inflatable airbag assembly for a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) that includes an airtight housing to be mounted to a vehicle structure of the UTV, an inflator to generate inflation gas, and an inflatable airbag cushion disposed within the airtight housing that is in fluid communication with the inflator to receive the inflation gas and deploy from a packaged configuration within the airtight housing to a deployed configuration to protect an occupant of the UTV during a collision event. The UTV may comprise a plurality of inflatable airbag assemblies disposed in various locations on the UTV to help keep passengers and their appendages in the UTV.
INTEGRATED FASTENER/STIFFENER PIECES FOR AIRBAG MOUNTING
Airbag assemblies, such as inflatable curtain airbag assemblies, comprising integrated fastener/stiffener pieces, such as stiffener plates combined with pushpins extending therefrom. In some embodiments, a mounting plate for mounting an inflatable curtain airbag assembly to a vehicle may comprise a plate having a stiffness greater than a stiffness of a tab of an inflatable curtain airbag assembly to which it is attached. An opening may be formed in the plate, the opening being configured to receive a first fastener therethrough. A second fastener, such as a non-threaded fastener, may be fixedly and/or integrally coupled with the plate and may extend from one side of the plate.
INTEGRATED FASTENER/STIFFENER PIECES FOR AIRBAG MOUNTING
Airbag assemblies, such as inflatable curtain airbag assemblies, comprising integrated fastener/stiffener pieces, such as stiffener plates combined with pushpins extending therefrom. In some embodiments, a mounting plate for mounting an inflatable curtain airbag assembly to a vehicle may comprise a plate having a stiffness greater than a stiffness of a tab of an inflatable curtain airbag assembly to which it is attached. An opening may be formed in the plate, the opening being configured to receive a first fastener therethrough. A second fastener, such as a non-threaded fastener, may be fixedly and/or integrally coupled with the plate and may extend from one side of the plate.
