THREE-POINT SAFETY BELT AND VEHICLE HAVING SAME

A three-point safety belt includes a belt body, a winder, a shoulder belt guide ring, and a lock tongue. The winder and the shoulder belt guide ring are fixed onto a vehicle body. The winder is located below the shoulder belt guide ring. The lock tongue is disposed on the belt body. The lock tongue divides the belt body into a shoulder belt and a waist belt. The shoulder belt penetrates through the shoulder belt guide ring. The free end, away from the lock tongue, of the shoulder belt and the free end, away from the lock tongue, of the waist belt are both wound in the winder. The winder synchronously winds or unwinds the shoulder belt and the waist belt.

PLUS-TWO BELT REMINDER SYSTEM

A plus-two belt system is provided. The plus-two belt system is a supplement to a traditional three-point belt system. The plus-two belt system has a longitudinal webbing anchored at a first end and coiled on a retractor at a second end. When an occupant is sensed and the vehicle engine is on, a reminder chime can sound when a magnetic strip in the webbing of the plus-two belt system is detected. The magnetic strip can be detected with a Hall effect sensor and the Hall effect sensor can be located adjacent the retractor.

TACTICAL-GEAR-ACCOMMODATING SEATBELT SYSTEM AND METHOD

A tactical-gear-accommodating seatbelt system and method adapted to provide enhanced safety and easier, more reliable means of engaging and disengaging the seatbelt for persons wearing tactical gear on the waist and chest, by providing an extender unit having an extender strap coupled with and extending from the standard seat-level receptacle or anchored in lieu of the standard seat-level receptacle, and a sure-release double receptacle attached to the free end of the extender strap such that the double receptacle sits generally in front of the lower torso in use, and having receptacle fittings to accommodate separate lap and shoulder straps anchored at lower and upper anchor points, respectively, with free ends terminated in plug fittings, thereby allowing easier and safer engagement and disengagement of the seatbelt system for a person wearing tactical gear.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE

An increase in structural complexity is suppressed in a webbing take-up device provided with a force limiter load switching mechanism and a pre-tensioner mechanism. The webbing take-up device includes a spool that takes up a webbing, a pre-tensioner mechanism that takes up the webbing onto the spool by rotating the spool in the take-up direction in a vehicle emergency, and a lock mechanism that restricts pull-out direction rotation of the spool in a vehicle emergency. The webbing take-up device further includes a force limiter mechanism that permits pull-out direction rotation of the spool at a force limiter load or greater when the lock mechanism has restricted pull-out direction rotation of the spool, and a force limiter load switching mechanism that switches a force limiter load value by being input with a portion of an actuation force that actuates the pre-tensioner mechanism.

Seat belt apparatus, vehicle seat, and vehicle

A seat belt apparatus includes a main belt, a first buckle that is disposed on an extended part of the main belt and that can be buckled and fastened to a second side of the vehicle seat corresponding to a waist on the other side of the passenger, and an auxiliary belt extending from a second part of a backrest of the vehicle seat corresponding to an underarm of the passenger, where the second part is lower than the first part. The apparatus is configured such that in the event a body of the passenger slides forward relative to the vehicle seat, the underarm of the passenger is blocked by the auxiliary belt.
