The bracket comprises a first plate facing the anchor pretensioner, a second plate facing the retractor and a hollow spacer extending between the first and second plates, and connected to the first and second plates. The hollow spacer is configured to allow a fastener to pass through to connect the anchor pretensioner and the retractor to a vehicle body.

A lap belt pretensioner for a lap belt configured to secure an occupant of a vehicle seat includes a pyrotechnic device. The pyrotechnic device is configured to generate a force directed to tension the lap belt around the occupant and emit an exhaust gas including particulates at high pressure and high temperature as a byproduct of the generated force. The lap belt pretensioner also includes a housing configured to retain the pyrotechnic device and defining an exhaust passage configured to expel the exhaust gas from the lap belt pretensioner. The lap belt pretensioner additionally includes a shield arranged over the exhaust passage and configured to collect and/or deflect the emitted particulates and dissipate heat energy thereof. A vehicle having the vehicle seat mounted to the vehicle structure and employing the seatbelt system is also provided.

The strap, net, or supporting body extends at least partially through or is integrated with the seatback and may incorporate pretensioning, load-limiting and other features to increase and control occupant restraint in non-frontal crashes.

A seat assembly includes a seatback having an interior portion with a seatback frame disposed therein. A retraction mechanism includes a first bracket operably coupled to the seatback frame. A second bracket is operably coupled to the first bracket by an actuator that is operable between at-rest and actuated positions. A tether member includes a body portion that is operably coupled between the first and second brackets of the retraction mechanism for movement therewith. The tether member moves from a deployed position to a retracted position when the actuator moves from the at-rest position to the actuated position. A belt member is operably coupled to the tether member. The belt member is operable between a deployed position, wherein the belt member is disposed in front of the back support portion of the seatback, and a stowed position, wherein the belt member is received in the interior portion of the seatback.

Seat module connection features (40) are associated with each of the seat module receiving portions. The system further includes one or more seat module (90), each with a seat base (94) and a seat clamping connector (91, 92, 92).
