A buckle apparatus includes a buckle, a moving member, a sliding member and a guide member. A tongue of a seatbelt apparatus can be engaged with the buckle. By being moved, the moving member moves the buckle. The sliding member is provided at the moving member and moves together with the moving member. The guide member allows the sliding member to slide in accordance with movement of the moving member and guides the sliding member. Friction between the guide member and the sliding member is less than friction between the guide member and the moving member.

A webbing length adjustment device has an outer shell, an adjustment assembly, and an elastic member. The adjustment assembly is disposed in and is moveable relative to the outer shell, and has an operating member having a lateral pressing plate portion and a sliding member moving relative to the operating member. The lateral pressing plate portion is formed on the operating member, is located above the outer shell, and is located beside the second through hole for giving more areas to exert force easily and operate conveniently. The lateral pressing plate portion is located at an outer side of a first webbing. There is no interference between the first webbing and user's hand. The elastic member is disposed in the outer shell, and is connected to the outer shell and the operating member for giving a restoring force to the operating member. The outer shell is hard to damage.

Load-limiting assembly for seatbelt

An assembly for a vehicle includes a pillar elongated along an axis. A seatbelt guide is supported by the pillar. The seatbelt guide is moveable relative to the pillar along the axis. The vehicle includes a seatbelt retractor and a webbing. The webbing is retractably extendable from the retractor. The seatbelt retractor is below the seatbelt guide. The webbing extends upwardly from the retractor and around the seatbelt guide. The vehicle includes a load limiter. The load limiter has a lower end fixed to the pillar. The load limiter has an upper end. The upper end is between the seatbelt guide and the lower end. The load limiter is crushable relative to the seatbelt guide and the pillar.

Restraining system for a vehicle

A restraining system for restraining an occupant of a vehicle, the system including: an occupant supporting device for supporting the occupant, the occupant supporting device has a longitudinal direction along which an occupant is intended to be positioned; a blanket including at least one restraint belt including a first end and a second end attachable to attachment members arranged on either side of the occupant supporting device such that the at least one restraint belt extends in a transverse direction across the occupant supporting device, the attachment members are movable such that the position of the at least one restraint belt is adjustable in the longitudinal direction, an activation control unit configured to receive a signal indicative of a vehicle collision, and in response to the received signal control a pre-tension device to increase the tension in the at least one restraint belt.

Safety belt positioning and presentation systems

A safety belt presentation system includes a safety belt presentation track extending from a first position to a second position spaced from the first position, a latch that includes a tongue disposed between a first side of the latch and second side of the latch and a first coupling portion, and a driving mechanism that includes a second coupling portion configured to releasably couple the first coupling portion of the latch. The driving mechanism is configured to control the latch to move from the first position to the second position along the safety belt presentation track when the first and second coupling portions are coupled.

Safety belt D-ring positioning

Guidance to a vehicle occupant is directed to manual adjustment of a height of a D-ring mechanism of a safety belt. First data of the occupant is collected which is indicative of a target height for the D-ring mechanism. Second data is collected indicative of a current height of the D-ring mechanism. The target height and the current height are compared to generate an adjustment amount whenever their difference is greater than a predetermined threshold. Visual guidance is presented to the occupant on an HMI display panel wherein the visual guidance describes taking an particular action to achieve the manual height adjustment of the D-ring mechanism. A further visual instruction is presented to the occupant on the HMI display panel wherein the visual instruction identifies the adjustment amount.
