Seatbelt positioning assembly
10486642 · 2019-11-26 · ·

A seatbelt positioning assembly, includes a base member, an extensible member, a positioning mechanism and an electronic controller. The base member is configured to attach to a vehicle pillar structure of a vehicle adjacent to a vehicle seat assembly. The extensible member is coupled to the base member and has a D-ring of a seatbelt assembly fixed a distal end thereof. The positioning mechanism is connected to the extensible member and is supported to the base member. The position mechanism is configured to move the extensible member such that the D-ring is positioned and re-positioned between a stowed position adjacent the vehicle pillar structure and an extended position adjacent to the vehicle seat assembly. The electronic controller is connected to the positioning mechanism and configured to operate the positioning mechanism to move the extensible member positioning the D-ring between the stowed position and the extended position.

Webbing support device

In a lift-up buckle device, a worm wheel is engaged with a screw drive. When a worm is rotated in a forward direction and causes the screw drive to move downward, the worm moves the worm wheel downward. On the other hand, when the worm is rotated in a reverse direction and causes the screw drive to move upward, the worm moves the worm wheel upward. Consequently, the worm wheel may be stably engaged with the screw drive, and the worm wheel and worm may be stably mated.

VEHICLE SEATBELT DEVICE

A seatbelt of a vehicle includes a buckle tilt mounting device for a tongue plate coupled with a seatbelt webbing restraining an occupant seated in a vehicle seat. The buckle tilt mounting device includes a buckle assembly having a buckle and a buckle cable, and further includes a pre-tensioner system having a housing, a driving member, and a pre-tensioner cable. When the pre-tensioner system is actuated at a time of a vehicle collision or at a time a vehicle collision is anticipated, the driving member retracts the pre-tensioner cable inside the housing such that the buckle assembly is rotatably moved and configured to reduce submarining load on the occupant.

A vehicle seatbelt device includes: a three-point seatbelt, a tongue having a long hole through which an intermediate portion of the seatbelt is inserted, a buckle that has a buckle main body at which the tongue is anchored and a stay that extends from the buckle main body toward a vehicle lower side and is connected to the vehicle seat, a forward tilting mechanism that tilts the stay toward a seat front side at a time of a vehicle collision or at a time a vehicle collision is predicted, and a shoulder pretensioner that pulls in a shoulder belt of the seatbelt at a time of a vehicle collision, wherein a lower end portion of the buckle main body and an upper end portion of the stay are connected rotatably around an axis along a seat transverse direction.

Adjusting device for a safety belt with an extendable belt guiding element

An adjusting device for a safety belt in a vehicle comprises at least one extendable belt guiding element which is provided for guiding a portion of the safety belt and at least one supporting element which is connected to the belt guiding element and which is able to be at least partially extended together with the belt guiding element. The belt guiding element is able to be extended from a resting position in a direction of extension in order to facilitate the grasping of the safety belt by a vehicle occupant when fastening the safety belt. The supporting element is flexible but in the extended state of the belt guiding element is sufficiently rigid at least in one portion transversely to the direction of extension such that the belt guiding element is held in an extended position via the now rigid portion of the supporting element.

Various implementations include a system for adjusting the position of a seatbelt in a vehicle. The system includes a shoulder anchor, at least one sensor, and a processor. The shoulder anchor is for receiving a seatbelt. The shoulder anchor is movable relative to a seat disposed within the vehicle. The processor is in electrical communication with the sensor and a memory. The processor executes computer-readable instructions stored on the memory. The instructions cause the processor to receive sensor data from the sensor, determine whether the seatbelt is within an expected area on a person in the seat based on the received sensor data, and cause the shoulder anchor to move relative to the seat in response to the seatbelt being outside of the expected area on the person in the seat such that the seatbelt is moved into the expected area.

Buckle device

A lift-up buckle device has a buckle with which is engaged a tongue through which a webbing, which is applied to a vehicle occupant, is inserted; wires that are made of metal, and whose longitudinal direction one end portions are fixed to the buckle, and that move together with the buckle; a driving portion that is connected to longitudinal direction other end portions of the wires, and that move the wires in a longitudinal direction; a wire guide that is made of metal and holds the wires in a curved state; a guide groove that is formed in the wire guide and in which the wires are inserted; and a resin member that is provided at an interior of the guide groove and abuts the wires.

SEATBELT ASSEMBLY

An assembly includes a base and a seatbelt anchor. The seatbelt anchor has a first end defining a circular hole pivotally supported by the base and a second end fixed in position relative to the first end. The assembly includes a buckle fixed in position relative to the second end. The assembly includes a pyrotechnic actuator secured to the base. The assembly includes a connector extending from the pyrotechnic actuator to the seatbelt anchor.

SEATBELT GUIDE ASSEMBLY

An assembly includes a webbing. The assembly includes a first webbing guide receiving the webbing. The assembly includes a second webbing guide receiving the webbing and releasably secured to the first webbing guide. The assembly includes an actuator. The assembly includes a cable secured to the actuator and to the second webbing guide.

In a seatbelt device, a guide face of a guide section of a base member of a support device is configured by a flat inclined face that is displaced toward a seat lower side on progression toward a seat left side. Accordingly, a slider is capable of sliding smoothly toward a seat right side end of a permitted slide range of the slider under urging force of a compression coil spring when an increase in tension on a webbing due to actuation of a motor in a vehicle emergency is released.
