WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE
A webbing take-up device includes a spool. The webbing take-up device also includes a lock base and a coupling member that are provided so as to rotatable as an integral unit with the spool, and that engage with a rack so as to be rotated and to rotate the spool in a take-up direction when the rack is moved. The webbing take-up device further includes a rack housing section that includes a pair of wall spaced apart from each other in a rotation axis direction of the lock base and the coupling member so as to form a space in which the lock base and the coupling member are disposed. The rack housing section is provided with an abutted portion that is abutted by a part of the coupling member so as to restrict the lock base and the coupling member from moving in the rotation axis direction.
FORCE LIMITER CONTROL SYSTEM
A force limiter control system includes: a variable force limiter unit configured to change a force limiter load; a relative speed detection unit that detects a relative speed between a host vehicle and a preceding vehicle; a force limiter load changing unit that sets a lower load as the force limiter load in a case in which the relative speed is lower than a predetermined threshold value, than in a case in which the relative speed is equal to or greater than the predetermined threshold value; and a low load invalidation unit that invalidates a change to the force limiter load by the force limiter load changing unit in a case in which a collision with a collision object other than the preceding vehicle has been predicted in an undetectable region in which an inter-vehicular distance L to the preceding vehicle is smaller than a predetermined distance.
Vehicle seat belt retractor
A seat belt retractor includes a core having an outer surface, a cover having an inner surface facing the outer surface. and a plurality of tubes between the cover and the core. The plurality of tubes is deformable relative to at least one of the core and the cover. Each tube has an outer periphery. The entire periphery of each tube is movable relative to the outer surface and the inner surface.
RETROFIT SEAT BELT SYSTEM FOR MOTOR COACH, WITH IMPACT DAMPERS AND CABLE SUPPORT
Disclosed is a retrofitting seatbelt system for a motor coach, the system including: a base plate, the base plate configured to connect to a floor rail of the motor coach; a longitudinal post configured to support a belt, the longitudinal post defines a longitudinal post inner end connected to the base plate, wherein the longitudinal post extends away from the base plate in a longitudinal direction to a longitudinal post outer end, wherein the longitudinal post defines a forward-side that faces a forward direction, and an aft-side that faces an aft direction, wherein the forward direction and the aft direction are disposed along a forward-aft axis; and a first motion damper connected to the longitudinal post near the longitudinal post outer end, the first motion damper extends in the aft direction, beyond the aft-side of the longitudinal post.
INTEGRATED MOTOR RETRACTOR (IMR) WITH MOTION PROFILES
The invention relates to an active restraint system (1), comprising a seat belt retractor (3), having a frame (2) and a belt reel (4) with a belt webbing (10) wound thereon and rotatable supported by the frame (2) for allowing winding and unwinding the belt webbing (10). An electric disc motor (28) comprising a rotor (30) and a stator (32) is attached to the belt reel (4). The rotor (30) is directly attached by an attachment (31) to the belt reel (4). The restraint system further comprises a control unit (40) connected to the disc motor (28) and adapted to control the disc motor (28) to drive the belt reel (4) in accordance with a determined belt motion profile.
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR WITH ADAPTIVE LOAD LIMITING
A seat belt retractor comprises (a) a rotatable spool on which seat belt webbing is wound and (b) a load-limiting system to limit a load applied to a vehicle occupant by the webbing. The load-limiting system includes a flow control orifice through which fluid is forced when a load in excess of a predetermined load is applied to the rotatable spool by the webbing. The cross-sectional flow area of the flow control orifice is adjustable in response to unwinding of webbing from the rotatable spool prior to a vehicle crash event and ceases to be adjustable after the crash event is in progress. The load-limiting system also includes a piston in a cylinder. The piston and cylinder are operatively coupled to the spool such that rotation of the spool causes the piston to move relative to the cylinder, which movement causes fluid to be forced through the flow control orifice.
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR
A seat belt retractor that includes a torsion bar is positioned in a spool. The second end of the torsion bar is engaged with a locking mechanism mounted to the frame. The torsion bar is configured to be locked at the second end while the first end rotates with the spool so that the torsion bar deforms to absorb force. The locking mechanism includes a lock base and a locking hub that is mounted to the second end of the torsion bar and is releasably connected to the lock base to prevent the second end of the torsion bar from rotating. The locking hub is configured to be released and rotate relative to the lock base to thereby permit rotation of the second end of the torsion bar with the first end of the torsion bar and the spool.
WEBBING RETRACTOR
A webbing retractor includes a spool, a motor, a force limiter mechanism, a first rotating body, a second rotating body, a ratchet gear, a pawl body and a control section. The ratchet gear is provided at one of the first rotating body or the second rotating body. The pawl body is provided at another of the first rotating body or the second rotating body. The pawl body can engage with the ratchet gear in a case in which the first rotating body rotates toward one side, and engagement of the pawl body with the ratchet gear being cancelled in a case in which the first rotating body rotates toward another side. The control section drives the motor to rotate in reverse, such that the first rotating body rotates toward another side in a case in which a physical amount relating to load of the passenger exceeds a predetermined value during forward rotational driving.
