Push to start remote start system
Full take over (FTO) of a vehicle permits a vehicle operator to remote start the vehicle, open one or more doors, enter the vehicle, and operate the vehicle without any engine shutdown. FTO may be achieved by a system for: detecting a remote start request, activating a key fob to allow for reading a security code, emulating an electrical brake pedal press, emulating an activation of the vehicle's start switch, and determining whether the vehicle is started. The vehicle driver may thereby unlock the vehicle, open the vehicle door, and drive the vehicle without the vehicle shutting down.
ACTIVE SAFETY CONTROL SYSTEM
Systems and methods are disclosed for determining, and displaying, the regulatory compliance status of a motorized vehicle, a driver of a motorized vehicle, or a non-vehicle machine. An authorized agent, such as a law enforcement officer, can perform a remotely-initiated safe stop of a motorized vehicle to prevent a high-speed chase. A system management center can receive, store, and transmit regulatory compliance records indicating the regulatory compliance status of drivers, motorized vehicles, and non-vehicle machines. A motorized vehicle can detect, and report, a driver tail-gating the motorized vehicle. The regulatory compliance history of drivers, motorized vehicles, and non-vehicle machines can be queried by authorized users.
Verification of installation of vehicle starter disable and enable circuit
A verification procedure is performed when a tracking device is newly installed in a vehicle. The procedure involves transmitting a command to the tracking device to either disable or enable the vehicle starter. The installer is then prompted to engage the starter to start the vehicle. The tracking device then monitors the voltages on the vehicle's ignition wire and starter disable and starter enable wires going to a starter relay. The tracking device also monitors the state of a starter relay control wire. Measurement of the proper voltages on these wires provides verification that the tracking device has been connected properly. Continuing to monitor these voltages after installation provides an indication when a driver engages the starter in an attempt to start the vehicle.
Method to lock, unlock and start a vehicle
The disclosure relates to a method to lock, unlock and start a vehicle without using a radio key or electronic vehicle key. According to the disclosure, the function of starting the vehicle without actively using the key is blocked when the vehicle is locked. When the vehicle is unlocked in a manner secured against relay station attacks, the possibility exists of starting the vehicle without actively using the key.
PORTABLE TERMINAL, REMOTE OPERATION METHOD FOR VEHICLE, AND PROGRAM
A vehicle entry system that comprises a portable terminal and an onboard device that wirelessly communicates with the portable terminal. The onboard device has a door opening/closing unit that can lock a vehicle door in a closed state and open the vehicle door to a prescribed angle; and an onboard control unit that, on the basis of commands transmitted from an authenticated portable terminal, controls a vehicle drive system and the door opening/closing unit. The portable terminal has a touch panel and a terminal control unit that outputs commands to the onboard control unit. A plurality of icons are displayed on the touch panel includes an advance-and-open-door icon for giving a command to advance the vehicle door and then open the vehicle door; and a reverse-and-open-door icon for giving a command to reverse the vehicle door and, after reversing, to open the vehicle door.
Engine safety lock out
A safety device designed to lock an engine flywheel and shaft in place during maintenance and repairs on the engine.
INTUITIVE REMOTE START SUGGESTIONS WITH SMART-PHONE APPLICATION
A method for controlling an automobile vehicle remote-start operation includes linking a personal communication device of a user to an automobile vehicle. Data directed to initiation of an automobile vehicle remote start operation is collected on the personal communication device. The data is compared to a predetermined threshold. If the predetermined threshold is met, a screen prompt is generated and displayed on the personal communication device of the user requesting the user to initiate the remote-start operation. The remote-start operation is initiated by the user from the personal communication device.

Control device, control method, program, and control system
A control device includes an acquisition unit acquiring a condition of a vehicle upon reception of a control request, an execution ability determination unit determining whether or not the vehicle is in a condition where the control request can be executed safely, an execution control unit executing the control request when the vehicle is determined to be in a condition where the control request can be executed safely, and a changeover control unit implementing control to change over the condition of the vehicle to a condition where the control request can be executed safely. When the vehicle is in a condition where the control request cannot be executed safely, the changeover control unit is activated. After the vehicle becomes in a condition where the control request can be executed safely, the execution control unit executes the control request.
TELEMATICS DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TAKING OUT VEHICLE INSURANCE AND ESTIMATING INSURANCE FEES
A method operating a telematics device of a vehicle can include: requesting identity (ID) information of a driver from a driver terminal when the driver enters the vehicle; performing an authentication process using the ID information; preventing start-up of an engine of the vehicle when the driver is identified as a temporary user according to the authentication process; receiving navigation data including information relating to a destination from the driver terminal; acquiring information indicating an estimated insurance fee corresponding to each of one or more paths for navigating to the destination; transmitting the information indicating the estimated insurance fee to the driver terminal; and starting the engine when one of the one or more paths for navigating to the destination is selected by the driver terminal.
