CONTROL DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, PROGRAM, AND CONTROL SYSTEM

A control device includes an acquisition unit acquiring a condition of a vehicle upon reception of a control request, an execution ability determination unit determining whether or not the vehicle is in a condition where the control request can be executed safely, an execution control unit executing the control request when the vehicle is determined to be in a condition where the control request can be executed safely, and a changeover control unit implementing control to change over the condition of the vehicle to a condition where the control request can be executed safely. When the vehicle is in a condition where the control request cannot be executed safely, the changeover control unit is activated. After the vehicle becomes in a condition where the control request can be executed safely, the execution control unit executes the control request.

AUTOMATIC REMOTE IGNITION BLOCK IN HIGH CRIME ZONE

Herein, a technology is discussed that facilitates the reduction of vehicle-related crime by disabling the use of a vehicle's engine when the vehicle is parked in a high-risk crime zone. The technology includes a method that sends a parked location of the vehicle to a data center and receives, from the data center, an indication to enable remote ignition block (RIB) of the vehicle when the parked location is part of a high-risk crime zone. In response, the vehicle enables RIB so that its engine will not start.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING ENVIRONMENTS OF VEHICLES

An electrified vehicle includes a power storage device, a charger that charges the power storage device using power from an external power source, and a charging inlet that is connectable to a charging connector of the external power source and connected to the charger via a power line, an openable and closable charging lid that covers the charging inlet from the outside, a lock mechanism that locks the charging lid in a closed state, and a control device that controls charging of the power storage device by the charger and the lock mechanism and that is able to rewrite a program via wireless communication. The control device locks the charging lid in the closed state by the lock mechanism while rewriting of the program is being executed.

System and method for shutting down an unlawfully utilized vehicle

A system and a method for shutting down an illegally used vehicle involves a first control device of the vehicle receiving a vehicle shutdown command and a server connected to the first control device and which transmits the vehicle shutdown command to the first control device. The first control device requests confirmation of the vehicle shutdown command in an external authorization system before the shutdown of the vehicle and a second control device initiates the shutdown of the vehicle.

VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM
20180244241 · 2018-08-30 ·

A vehicle security system for monitoring a vehicle and notifying a user includes at least two image capture devices (ICD), sensors, a global positioning system tracking module (GPSTM), a control module (CM), and a monitoring device. The ICD are positioned at predetermined locations of the vehicle for capturing and transmitting images of a target object. The sensors generate sensor data variables based on a detection of the target object. The GPSTM generates and transmits signals based on a position of the vehicle to a monitoring device. The CM receives the captured images and sensor data variables. The CM analyzes the received images and sensor data variables based on predefined criteria to trigger auxiliary units. The CM transmits the images and sensor data variables based on the predefined criteria to the monitoring device. A graphical user interface displays the images for monitoring the vehicle and notifies the user.

A vehicle arresting device and method provides a flexible net that is designed to be launched into the path of a target vehicle. The net may provide upwardly pointing spikes that are designed to embed into the tire of the target vehicle thereby causing the flexible net to wrap around the tires of the target vehicle which cause the tires to stop rotating and brings the target vehicle to a safe stop. The arresting device may be remotely controlled by the user.

A method implemented by a security control device of a premises security system that is configured to monitor a premises includes communicating, via the premises security system, with a component of a vehicle and controlling an ability of the vehicle to be driven. The ability of the vehicle to be driven may be based on a state of the premises security system. Sensor information received from a premises device of the security system that indicates the presence of an occupant within the premises may be used to control the ability of the vehicle to be driven. In addition, the premises security system may communicate with the vehicle's key fob and control the ability of the vehicle to be driven using the key fob and its detected location. The ability of the vehicle to be driven can also be managed in accordance with a predefined time schedule.

METHOD TO LOCK, UNLOCK AND START A VEHICLE

The disclosure relates to a method to lock, unlock and start a vehicle without using a radio key or electronic vehicle key. According to the disclosure, the function of starting the vehicle without actively using the key is blocked when the vehicle is locked. When the vehicle is unlocked in a manner secured against relay station attacks, the possibility exists of starting the vehicle without actively using the key.
