PHYSICALLY SECURED DEVICE FOR VEHICLE INTRUSION DETECTION
A vehicle theft-prevention apparatus can include a slip clutch mechanism, a locking mechanism, and a cylindrical body including a first portion and a second portion. The first portion can be configured to rotate about the second portion. The locking mechanism can be configured to engage based on rotation of the first portion relative to the second portion in a first direction, and disengage based on a rotation of the first portion relative to the second portion in a second direction. The slip clutch mechanism can be configured to prevent the locking mechanism from further engaging from rotation in the first direction relative to the second portion based on a magnitude of force applied.
CONFIGURABLE REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A MARINE VESSEL
A remote control system for a marine vessel includes at least one fob and a configuration control system configured to detect available devices on the marine vessel to be controlled remotely for the marine vessel, generate a list of available functions for at least one user-selectable fob command based on the detected available devices, present the list of available functions to the user via a fob configuration user interface such that the user can select one or more functions in the list of available functions, identify a system command associated with each selected function so as to configure a set of system commands based on the user-selected functions, and store the user-configured set of system commands in association with the fob identification and the selected fob command. The system further includes a helm transceiver module to effectuate activation/deactivation of the available devices based on the user-configured set of system commands.
Active safety control system
Systems and methods are disclosed for determining, and displaying, the regulatory compliance status of a motorized vehicle, a driver of a motorized vehicle, or a non-vehicle machine. An authorized agent, such as a law enforcement officer, can perform a remotely-initiated safe stop of a motorized vehicle to prevent a high-speed chase. A system management center can receive, store, and transmit regulatory compliance records indicating the regulatory compliance status of drivers, motorized vehicles, and non-vehicle machines. A motorized vehicle can detect, and report, a driver “tail-gating” the motorized vehicle. The regulatory compliance history of drivers, motorized vehicles, and non-vehicle machines can be queried by authorized users.
METHOD FOR STOPPING A VEHICLE
The vehicle (1) provides its identity to the portable electronic device (5) of a user not driving the vehicle, the portable electronic device displays visible features of the vehicle, the user selects the vehicle on the display to provide a signal to the wireless communication unit of the emergency stop system of the vehicle. In case of a terrorist attack, signals from a plurality of portable devices cause the vehicle to stop or slow down.
METHOD FOR STOPPING A VEHICLE
There is provided a method to stop or slow down a vehicle in an emergency, the method involving a vehicle comprising an emergency stop system which is able to cause the vehicle to stop or slow down, said emergency stop system comprising at least one microphone for detecting sounds in the vicinity of the vehicle, and a sound analysis unit for analysing sound, the method involving the steps: a) the microphone of the emergency stop system receiving a sound and sending a signal representing the sound to the sound analysis unit, b) the sound analysis unit of the emergency stop system determining that the received sound is a predetermined sound or a predetermined sound pattern, and c) the emergency stop system causing the vehicle to stop or slow down.
METHOD FOR STOPPING A VEHICLE
There is provided a method to stop or slow down a vehicle in an emergency, said vehicle comprising an emergency stop system able to cause the vehicle to stop or slow down, the emergency stop system being able to receive stop signals from users that are not driving the vehicle, the method comprising the steps of a) the emergency stop system receiving a first signal to stop the vehicle, b) the emergency stop system immediately starting a timing procedure, c) the emergency stop system, within a predetermined time window, receiving a predetermined number of further signals to stop the vehicle, and d) the emergency stop system, if the required number of signals has been received, immediately causing the vehicle to stop or slow down.
Configurable remote control system and method for a marine vessel
A remote control system for a marine vessel includes at least one fob communicating with a helm transceiver module on the vessel. The fob has at least two user inputs, each associated with a different user-selectable fob command, wherein the fob is configured to wirelessly transmit a fob identification and a selected fob command in response to user selection of a user input. The helm transceiver module is configured to store unique fob identifications for permitted fobs and a set of system commands for each user-selectable fob command for each fob identification, wherein the set of system commands are configurable by a user. Upon receipt of the fob identification and the selected fob command, the helm transceiver module verifies that the fob identification is associated with one of the permitted fobs and identifies the user-configured set of system commands associated with the selected fob command and the fob identification. The helm transceiver module then communicates instructions via a vessel network based on the set of system commands to activate or deactivate devices on the marine vessel.
Data transmission for vehicle intrusion device
A vehicle theft-prevention apparatus can include a wireless transceiver, a plurality of sensors configured to sense measurements proximate to a vehicle, and at least one computing device coupled to the plurality of sensors and the wireless transceiver. The at least one computing device can be configured to read a plurality of measurements of the plurality of sensors and determine that at least one event has occurred based on the plurality of measurements. The at least one computing device can store data corresponding to the at least one event on a local storage coupled to the at least one computing device and can transmit, via the wireless transceiver, the data corresponding to the at least one event to a remote service.
RELAY STATION ATTACK PREVENTION
A system includes a plurality of antennas, an access control mechanism, and a computing resource. The computing resource is configured to initiate each of multiple antennas to transmit a wireless signal and receive values indicative of signal strength of the wireless signals from the multiple antennas. The computing resource also is configured to calculate a position of a wireless electrical device based on the received values and calculate an error value of the calculated position of the wireless electrical device. Further, the computing resource is configured to determine that the error value is greater than an error threshold and to disable the access control mechanism.
REMOTE VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER
Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for a remote vehicle immobilizer. A network gateway device receives a command from a remote computing device to modify a configuration of an electronic switch from a first configuration to a second configuration. The electronic switch is positioned in a conducting path between a starter motor of the vehicle and a battery of the vehicle. In response to receiving the command, the network gateway device transmits a signal to the electronic switch via a two-way communication channel connecting the network gateway device to the electronic switch. The signal causes the electronic switch to modify the configuration of the electronic switch from the first configuration to the second configuration.
