Method and device for handing over a motor vehicle to the driver during an automatic parking space-leaving maneuver

A method and a device for handing over a motor vehicle to the driver during an automatic parking space-leaving maneuver performed by an automatic parking function. The method includes receiving an external parking space-leaving signal reflecting the driver's wish to get the motor vehicle out of the parking space, initializing the parking space-leaving maneuver and supplying an operating voltage to all vehicle components as a result of the reception of the parking space-leaving signal, carrying out the parking space-leaving maneuver from a parked position into a target position, switching off the voltage supply to predetermined vehicle components once the target position has been reached; and connecting the voltage supply to all vehicle components when the driver performs predetermined actions upon getting into the vehicle in the target position.

Work vehicle

A work vehicle with a travel control device that allows stationary work without disabling a theft-prevention state of the vehicle is provided. The work vehicle includes an engine, a power transmission device having a clutch for transmitting rotational power of the engine to drive wheels, a travel control device for controlling the clutch in the power transmission device and having a start restriction mode for restricting engagement of the clutch when electrical power is turned on, a mobile terminal configured to transmit signals for enabling and disabling the start restriction mode, and a control unit configured to transmit and receive signals to and from the mobile terminal.

A biometric shifter for a vehicle includes a shifter body having an outer surface with a grip portion configured to be gripped by an operator's hand, the shifter body defining a chamber, the grip portion having an opening that communicates with the chamber, a vein reader sensor disposed within the chamber at a first distance from the opening in the grip portion, wherein the first distance is configured to optimize biometric verification of an operator's hand on the grip portion of the shifter body.

Methods and systems for starting a vehicle

Systems and methods for selectively activating operation of one or more vehicle powertrain elements are presented. In one example, a propulsion source of a vehicle is activated in response to a driver moving a shift lever from a first location to a second location. Further, activation of propulsion source may be made contingent on whether or not the vehicle is coupled to an electrical grid.

Two-wheeled vehicle

A coupling system for a vehicle includes a first coupler having an outer annual surface and an opening defining an inner surface. The outer surface and the inner surface define gripping surfaces for gripping one or more alternative vehicle attachments.

Systems and methods for enhanced vehicle valet mode

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for an enhanced valet mode for vehicles. An example method may include receiving a request to enter a valet mode of the vehicle. The example method may also include enabling the valet mode of the vehicle. The example method may also include disabling, based on the valet mode of the vehicle being enabled, a secure idle mode of the vehicle, wherein the secure idle mode of the vehicle includes locking a gear shifter of the vehicle in a park position when an occupant of the vehicle is outside of a cabin of the vehicle.
