OBD DEVICE VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM DETECTION
Embodiments for an on-board diagnostics (OBD) device are provided herein. The OBD device can monitor a voltage of a battery power contact via a voltage sensor and determine based on changes in the voltage whether a vehicle security alarm of a vehicle has been set-off. If it is determined that the vehicle alarm has been set-off, the OBD device can send an alert to a remote device via a wireless transceiver, wherein the alert indicates that the vehicle security alarm has been set-off.

A system for limiting vehicle operation is disclosed. The system may comprise one or more memory units for storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations may comprise determining that a key device is inside the vehicle; performing an authentication; setting the vehicle in a first vehicle mode; starting the vehicle based on the determination and the first authentication; and limiting vehicle operation based on the first vehicle mode.
Methods and apparatus to modify vehicle function based on loading conditions
An example apparatus includes a profile manager to determine whether a user of a vehicle has a corresponding profile stored in memory based on a personalized vehicle key associated with the user, in response to determining that the profile for the user is not available, receive one or more inputs from the user via a display, the one or more inputs including a loading condition threshold and a corresponding response to exceeding the loading condition threshold, and generate the profile for the user based on the one more inputs from the user; and a vehicle feature modifier to modify a feature of the vehicle when a load condition of the vehicle satisfies the loading condition threshold to limit or disable operation of the vehicle based on the corresponding response to exceeding the loading condition threshold, the feature modified based upon the profile.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURING A VEHICLE
A system for securing of vehicles includes at least one server; at least one vehicle having a vehicle processing device and a vehicle communication device designed to communicate with the server via at least one mobile radio network, wherein the vehicle processing device is designed to transmit data to the server; and at least one mobile terminal device, in particular a smartphone. The server has at least one allocation table which assigns at least one terminal device to the at least one vehicle. The server is designed to: (a) determine, by using the transmitted data, whether the vehicle is being moved without authorization; (b) determine, in the event of unauthorized movement of the vehicle, the associated terminal device using the allocation table; and/or (c) send a warning message to the associated terminal device in the event of unauthorized movement.
METHOD TO PROVIDE WARNING TO RELAY ATTACKS ON KEYLESS ENTRY AND START SYSTEMS
A method and apparatus are presented for authenticating a vehicle equipped with a passive keyless entry and start system. The method includes sending a request for unlock or ignition start from the key fob to a vehicle's network access device (NAD), sending a first challenge signal from the NAD to the key fob, determining if the key fob is within range of the NAD, sending a second challenge signal from the NAD to the mobile device, determining if the mobile device is within range of the NAD, and sending a warning to the mobile device when the key fob or mobile device is not within range of the NAD.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANTI-THEFT CONTROL FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
A method and a system for theft prevention from an autonomous vehicle are provided. The method includes acquiring data from one or more sensors associated with the autonomous vehicle and analyzing, using processing circuitry, the data to determine whether one or more exterior systems of the autonomous vehicle are tampered with. An alert is output to an electronic device associated with a user of the vehicle when a whether one or more exterior systems of the autonomous vehicle are tampered with. Further, an alert is output the user that the autonomous vehicle is no longer safe to be operated when at least one of the one or more exterior systems tampered with belongs to a predefined category. Further, a signal is output to the vehicle to control one or more systems of the vehicle when whether one or more exterior systems of the autonomous vehicle are tampered with.

Security of User Data Stored in Shared Vehicles
User data stored in memory of a shared vehicle is managed in a secure manner. In some embodiments, user data stored in the vehicle is deleted in response to receiving a communication that initiates closing of usage of the vehicle (e.g., from a client device of a user that is operating the vehicle). A new user of a vehicle is prevented from being able to read or use private data of a prior user. In some embodiments, when authorizing usage of a vehicle by a new user, the vehicle is caused to delete the prior user data. After the prior user data has been deleted, a notification is received from the vehicle confirming that the vehicle has deleted the prior user data.
System and method to detect vehicle movement
One general aspect includes a method of detecting vehicle movement, the method including: (a) measuring, via a controller, one or more signal variables as a first variable data set; (b) at some duration of time after the first variable data set is measured, via the controller, measuring the one or more signal variables as a second variable data set; (c) comparing, via the controller, the first and second variable data sets; (d) determining, via the controller, if substantial differences exist between the first and second variable data sets; (e) when it is determined that substantial differences exist between the first and second variable data sets, via the controller, generating a notification configured to indicate vehicle movement has been detected.

An embodiment of the invention may include a method, computer program product and computer system for optimizing course understanding. The method, computer program product and computer system may include a computing device to receive fueling location data and vehicle identification data of a vehicle from a radio frequency identification (RFID) transceiver from a plurality of fueling stations. The RFID transceiver may receive the vehicle identification data at the RFID transceiver from a cryptographic RFID transponder as part of the vehicle. The computing device may receive user authentication signals authorizing a plurality of fueling stations from an authorized user of the vehicle. The computing device may determine from the fueling location data, the vehicle identification data, and the user authentication signals one or more fueling patterns. The computing device may detect a fueling location deviating from the one or more fueling patterns send an alert to an authorized device.
