Multi Alarm Device
20240409061 · 2024-12-12 ·

A multi-alarm device is disclosed that is a specialized vehicle security device designed to work in conjunction with a key fob, home security system, and mobile application. The multi-alarm device comprises a lock component which communicates with the vehicle as well as with multiple control devices, such as a mobile application, a key fob, and a home security system. When the vehicle is tampered with, at least one of the control devices is alerted, and the vehicle locks the transmission, doors, steering, wheels, and brakes. Further, the vehicle's horn sounds and the internal and external lights blink. The windshield wipers also turn on to draw attention and impair visibility. The vehicle may also play a pre-recorded song to draw attention.

Autonomous vehicle extended reality environments

Autonomous vehicle methods and systems are described herein for communicating with an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle to remotely control operation of the vehicle, to detect and remove unauthorized passengers, to deliver loads, to receive registration information for the vehicle, to provide accessibility information to the vehicle, and/or to receive sensor or other environmental data to integrate with an electronic game or other extended reality experience.

Catalytic converter theft prevention and recovery

A tethered device for prevention and recovery of a vehicle component (e.g., a catalytic converter) is provided herein. The tethered device comprises a housing having an exterior surface and defining an interior cavity. The tethered device further comprises an electronic component disposed within the interior cavity. The tethered device further comprises a plurality of spacers extending from the exterior surface and configured to be adjacent to the vehicle component. The plurality of spacers defines a channel configured to promote airflow between the tethered device and the vehicle component thereby minimizing heat transfer between the tethered device and the vehicle component.

Method of controlling a vehicle door lock system

A method of controlling a vehicle includes sensing movement of an interior door handle of the vehicle with a sensing device, such as a door lock switch. A position of a door of the vehicle is sensed with a door position sensor, after movement of the interior door handle is sensed, to determine if the door remains in an unopened position after movement of the interior door handle is sensed, or if the door moves into an opened position after movement of the interior door handle is sensed. When movement of the interior door handle is sensed and the door remains in the unopened position after movement of the interior door handle, instructions are provided with an audio or video device related to the proper procedure for unlocking and opening the door.

WIRELESS VEHICLE SECURITY MOTION SENSOR AND RELATED METHODS

A vehicle security system may include a vehicle controller and a first wireless communications device carried by the vehicle, and a wireless security sensor(s). The wireless security sensor(s) may include a portable housing, a motion sensor carried by the portable housing to detect motion thereof, a second wireless communications device carried by the portable housing to communicate with the first wireless communications device, and a sensor controller carried by the portable housing. The sensor controller may cooperate with the motion sensor and the second wireless communications device to determine when motion of the portable housing exceeds a first security alert threshold and send a first security alert message to the vehicle controller based thereon, and determine when the first security alert threshold is exceeded for a predetermined time and enter a power saving mode. The vehicle controller may generate a first alarm responsive to the first security alert message.

VEHICLE STATE PRESENTATION SYSTEM, VEHICLE, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND VEHICLE STATE PRESENTATION METHOD

A terminal device separate from a vehicle includes a receiver that receives a notification signal from the vehicle indicating that the vehicle is in a first state different from a second state, a notification unit that notifies a user of the terminal device of the first state based on the notification signal, an input unit that receives, from the user of the terminal device, an input commanding the first state to be maintained, and a transmitter that transmits a signal to the vehicle based on the input received by the input unit. The vehicle includes a control unit that performs control that maintains the first state after lapse of a predetermined time from a time that the notification unit of the terminal device notifies of the first state of the vehicle when a reception unit of the vehicle receives the signal transmitted from the transmitter within the predetermined time.

WEIGHT SENSING PARKING PAD DEVICE
20250111760 · 2025-04-03 ·

A weight sensing parking pad device includes a pad having a length and a width that is sufficient to accommodate a tire of a motorized vehicle. The pad can be placed on a support surface to facilitate the tire of the motorized vehicle to be parked upon the pad. A weight sensor is integrated into the pad to sense the weight of the tire when the motorized vehicle is parked on the pad. A communication unit is integrated into the pad and the communication unit is in remote communication with a personal electronic device. The communication unit broadcasts an alert to the personal electronic device when the weight sensor ceases to sense weight after having sensed weight for a minimum duration of time. In this way user is notified that the motorized vehicle has been moved from the pad and has potentially been stolen.
