JOURNEY VERIFICATION FOR RIDESHARING VIA AUDIBLE SIGNALS
20210086723 · 2021-03-25 ·

A system has a communication system that is in communication with a computing system. The computing system runs computer-executable instructions that may examine a profile of a passenger. Furthermore, the system may determine based upon the profile that support is to be provided audibly to the passenger whenever support is provided to the passenger. The system may also detect divergences from a predetermined path or route, which is determined may be determined by comparing a position signal output against the predetermined path. In response to detecting divergences, the system may further output an audible support message having content based on the detected divergences. Moreover, the system may be configured to contact authorities and stop the autonomous vehicle.

IDENTIFYING SUSPICIOUS EVENTS RELATING TO A VEHICLE
20210078538 · 2021-03-18 ·

A system for monitoring suspicious activity of a vehicle includes a memory designed to store pattern data corresponding to a historical pattern of behavior of the vehicle. The system further includes a sensor designed to detect sensor data corresponding to a current vehicle behavior. The system further includes a network access device designed to communicate with a remote device. The system further includes an electronic control unit (ECU) coupled to the memory, the sensor, and the network access device. The ECU is designed to determine a suspicious event when the current vehicle behavior deviates from the historical pattern of behavior of the vehicle by a threshold amount. The ECU is further designed to control the network access device to transmit a notification of the suspicious event to the remote device.

WHEEL FASTENER ALARM

A wheel fastener alarm assembly is provided having a fastener body with a first portion defining a wrenching surface and a cavity, and a second portion with a threaded portion to attach and detach from a wheel of a vehicle. A sensor array is disposed in the cavity of fastener body to detect an attribute of the fastener body and generate an output signal based on the attribute of the fastener body. An antenna connected to the sensor array to transmit the signal to a remote location. A cap is secured to the first portion of the fastener body and covers the wrenching surface and the cavity opening to define a capped fastener body.

Perimeter alert defense systems and methods are described.

Security of user data stored in shared vehicles

User data stored in memory of a shared vehicle is managed in a secure manner. In some embodiments, user data stored in the vehicle is deleted in response to receiving a communication that initiates closing of usage of the vehicle (e.g., from a client device of a user that is operating the vehicle). A new user of a vehicle is prevented from being able to read or use private data of a prior user. In some embodiments, when authorizing usage of a vehicle by a new user, the vehicle is caused to delete the prior user data. After the prior user data has been deleted, a notification is received from the vehicle confirming that the vehicle has deleted the prior user data.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DRIVER IDENTIFICATION
20210206346 · 2021-07-08 ·

A method at a vehicle computing device for identifying a driver, the method including receiving a first indicator at the vehicle computing device; obtaining, based on the first indicator, a presumed driver identity; receiving at least one second indicator at the vehicle computing device; and verifying the presumed driver identity using the at least one second indicator.

Mobile alert and security system

An alert system for a vehicle has a computerized monitoring apparatus, a plurality of sensors sensing environmental conditions, status of apparatus of the vehicle, and presence or absence of a cellular telephone, and reports the conditions, status and presence or absence to the monitoring apparatus as variable values, and wireless transmission circuitry enabled to send an alert to the cellular telephone. The monitoring apparatus transmits an alert if the following sequence of events is determined: (1) at a first point in time the cellular telephone is in the vehicle and the ignition is on (2) at a 10 second point in time after the first point in time the ignition is switched off (3) at a third point in time after the second point in time the cellular telephone is no longer in the vehicle and it is determined there is a human or other animal in the vehicle.

MONITORING SYSTEM FOR WORKING MACHINE
20210016742 · 2021-01-21 · ·

A monitoring system for a working machine includes a boarding detector to detect boarding and alighting of an operator, the boarding detector being provided in the working machine, a position detector to detect a position based on a signal sent from a positioning satellite when the boarding detector detects the alighting of the operator, a transmitter to transmit, to a management machine, positional information representing the position detected by the position detector, and a controller to move the management machine based on the positional information when the boarding detector detects the alighting, the controller being provided in the management machine.

Vehicle ambient audio classification via neural network machine learning
10885930 · 2021-01-05 · ·

A method and an apparatus for detecting and classifying sounds around a vehicle via neural network machine learning are described. The method involves an audio recognition system that may determine the origin of the sounds being inside or outside of a vehicle and classify the sounds into different categories such as adult, child, or animal sounds. The audio recognition system may communicate with a plurality of sensors in and around the vehicle to obtain information of conditions of the vehicle. Based on information of the sounds and conditions of the vehicles, the audio recognition system may determine whether an occupant or the vehicle is at risk and send alert messages or issue warning signals.
