LOCK CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE DIGITAL KEY SYSTEM
20240025374 · 2024-01-25 ·

A lock control system or a vehicle digital key system including an in-vehicle device, a mobile device, and a server controls operations of a plurality of authentication sensors for authenticating a user of a vehicle by at least one of a plurality of authentication methods. Thereby, it is possible to reduce a power consumption during standby.

Vehicle alert from a non-paired device

A vehicle includes a horn, a plurality of exterior lights, and at least one controller. The at least one controller is configured to grant vehicle system access to a nomadic device paired to the vehicle, and in response to receiving a message that contains data identifying a source of the message while the vehicle is in a key-off state from a nomadic device not paired to the vehicle, activate the horn and exterior lights according to respective patterns.

USER AUTHENTICATION DEVICE AND METHOD USING AUTHENTICATION SCORE
20200001826 · 2020-01-02 ·

A user authentication device and method for providing a security level varying based on an authentication score of biometric information when providing an authentication-based service in an autonomous driving vehicle. The device and method may be associated with an AI device, a drone, an UAV, a robot, an AR device, a VR device, and a 5G service.

STORAGE MEDIUM, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND UNLOCK SYSTEM FOR UNLOCKING VEHICLE
20190389428 · 2019-12-26 ·

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to function as following units of a communication apparatus which includes a communication device that communicates with an on-board apparatus installed in a vehicle: an obtaining unit configured to obtain a predetermined operation performed by a user; and a control unit configured to control the communication device to transmit an unlock signal for unlocking a door of the vehicle to the on-board apparatus, wherein when the predetermined operation is obtained before communication between the communication device and the on-board apparatus becomes possible, the control unit causes the communication device to transmit the unlock signal in response to an occurrence in which communication between the communication device and the on-board apparatus has become possible.

Systems and methods for enhanced vehicle valet mode

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for an enhanced valet mode for vehicles. An example method may include receiving a request for a temporary valet passcode. The example method may also include generating a temporary valet passcode. The example method may also include displaying a request for entry of the temporary valet passcode. The example method may also include determining that an input has been received. The example method may also include determining that a mobile device is located within the vehicle or within a threshold distance from the vehicle. The example method may also include preventing the vehicle from starting based on authorization of the mobile device for a period of time subsequent to the input being received.

Vehicle control device

A vehicle control device controls a vehicle including an occupant door and an opening and closing member for a shareable space. The vehicle control device is configured to control switching between a locked state and an unlocked state of an inlet, and to execute first control. In the first control, the inlet is switched to the unlocked state when the opening and closing member for the shareable space is unlocked by a user while the inlet is in the locked state. The inlet is not switched to the unlocked state when the opening and closing member for the shareable space is unlocked by a third person while the inlet is in the locked state.

VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS
20240109513 · 2024-04-04 ·

The present disclosure relates to vehicle control methods and apparatuses, applied to fields such as intelligent vehicles. In one example method, an authentication apparatus (for example, a road side apparatus, a vehicle management platform, or a special vehicle) is assigned control permission for a vehicle. When an unlocking requester has a requirement for opening a vehicle lock, the authentication apparatus may indicate to open the vehicle lock. Accordingly, the unlocking requester can open the vehicle lock in a timely manner when a vehicle owner is not near the vehicle or a passenger on the vehicle cannot control the vehicles.

VEHICULAR ENTRY SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
20240132019 · 2024-04-25 ·

Disclosed principles provide vehicular entry systems and methods comprising a sensing system disposed on each of the plurality of doors of the vehicle. Each sensing system detects a touch of a user at a corresponding door only when a presence detection system detects the presence of an authentication unit. Each sensing system causes a corresponding lock/unlock system to unlock a corresponding door of the vehicle, but not unlock any other doors, in response to the detecting of a touch of a user at the corresponding door and only with detection of the authentication unit. Additionally, each sensing system causes a corresponding lock/unlock system to automatically lock a corresponding door, but not lock any other doors, directly in response to a closing of the corresponding door previously unlocked by the corresponding lock/unlock system during the detecting of the authentication unit.

Vehicle door handle having ice handling

A vehicle door handle is provided that includes a deployable handle body located on a door, keypad contacts on an outer side of the handle body, an actuator configured to deploy the handle to a deployed position, a plurality of proximity sensors located on the handle body and generating activation fields, and a controller processing signals generated by the sensors to determine an input command for controlling the actuator and to determine a keypad input. The controller may sense ice on the handle and determine ice thickness and may control the actuator to break the ice based on the ice thickness.

Vehicle authentication system

A vehicle authentication system may include a controller configured to detect a trigger event, activate at least one camera, transmit a unique identifier to a mobile device, receive an image from the at least one camera, and grant access to the vehicle in response to the image including the unique identifier.
