Position determination system

A position determination system a determines whether a mobile terminal is present outside a vehicle compartment based on a reception strength of a radio signal transmitted from the mobile terminal through a vehicle interior antenna and a reception strength of a radio signal transmitted from the mobile terminal through a vehicle exterior antenna, and the vehicle exterior antenna is configured to be disposed in a predetermined region in a vicinity of a window of a vehicle in an outer surface portion of a vehicle.

AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, CONTROL DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM

A first communication device forms a first wireless communication area at least outside a prescribed area. A second communication device forms a second wireless communication area at least inside the prescribed area. A control device performs an operation control of a first device to be controlled, based on first authentication processing for authenticating a first mobile device located in the first wireless communication area. The control device performs an operation control of a second device to be controlled that is different from the first device to be controlled, based on second authentication processing for authenticating the first mobile device located in the second wireless communication area. The control device performs an operation control of the first communication device to perform communication with a second mobile device that is different from the first mobile device after the operation control of the first device to be controlled is performed.

Keyless entry message validation

An example operation includes one or more of establishing a security level based on an environment of a transport, determining a minimal radio frequency signal strength needed for a device to communicate with the transport based on the security level of the transport, and performing a command, by the transport, based on the communication when the minimal radio frequency signal strength is achieved.

Detection Device

A detection device includes at least one detection module communicatively coupled with a communication device. The detection module includes a controller circuit communicatively coupled with a first antenna. The first antenna receives first electromagnetic signals from a first plurality of antennae located within an interior of a first vehicle. The first antenna receives second electromagnetic signals from a second plurality of antennae located and within an interior of a second vehicle. The controller circuit determines a position of the communication device within the interior of the first vehicle relative to locations of the first plurality of antennae based on the first electromagnetic signals received by the first antenna. The controller circuit determines a position of the communication device within the interior of the second vehicle relative to locations of the second plurality of antennae based on the second electromagnetic signals received by the first antenna.

Provided is a vehicle, including: a communicator configured to perform communication with a user terminal or a remote control device; a sensor configured to acquire surrounding information of the vehicle; and a controller including a processor configured to process the surrounding information. The controller is configured to identify a location of the remote control device based on the communication and transmit a warning message to the user terminal when an obstruction is identified between the identified location of the remote control device and a location of the vehicle, based on processing the surrounding information.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

A vehicle 2 is provided with an authentication system 4 which enables operating a user's terminal 3 as a key to the vehicle 2. The authentication system 4 performs authentication by means of near-field communication between the terminal 3 and a wireless authentication device 22 and operates a device 20. A determination unit 33 confirms the use state of the terminal 3 at the time when near-field communication was performed, and determines whether or not the confirmed use state of the terminal 3 satisfies a condition for stopping or restricting the key function. If the determination unit 33 has determined that the confirmed use state of the terminal 3 satisfies the condition for stopping or restricting the key function, then a processing unit 36 performs processing for stopping or restricting the key function.

Activation module simultaneously detecting the approach and pressure of a user with a movable high-frequency antenna

Disclosed is an activation module for a function in a motor vehicle accommodated in a component, the module including a detection and communication device including at least one communication antenna transmitting at a high frequency and a device for detecting a deformation of the component, the communication antenna being connected to a printed circuit board including a unit for measuring voltage variation across the terminals of the communication antenna, a unit for interpreting the measuring unit and transmission and reception unit with an electronic control unit having a unit for activating the function. The communication antenna is movable relative to the printed circuit board under the action of the deformation of the component, the measuring unit then detecting a voltage variation across the terminals of the communication antenna.

A vehicle control apparatus is mounted on a vehicle to perform wireless communication with a portable terminal. The vehicle control apparatus includes a first processor configured to execute a first process including a determination process that determines whether or not a received signal, which is a wireless signal received by an antenna mounted on the vehicle and encoded, is a regular wireless signal transmitted from the portable terminal by determining whether or not a counted number of short bits sandwiched by two long bits adjacent to each other in the received signal is an even number.

Vehicle control system and mobile device used as vehicle key fob

An apparatus includes a vehicle control system (VCS) coupled to a computer of a vehicle via a CAN bus and configured to present selectively appearance of a presence in the vehicle of a smartkey, e.g., by energizing and de-energizing an actual smartkey of the vehicle. The VCS includes a VCS and a Bluetooth® VCS transceiver. The VCS stores VCS software. The apparatus also includes a smartphone with a Bluetooth® transceiver, and storing an app. The mobile device is paired with the VCS to communicate with the VCS via a Bluetooth® link. The app configures the smartphone to receive menu selections from a user, to generate communications that identity smartkey-enabled features of the VCS that correspond to the selections, and to send to the VCS the communications through the link. The VCS software configures the VCS to receive the communications and cause the vehicle to perform actions corresponding to live communications.
