BIOMETRIC WIRELESS VEHICLE ENTRY SYSTEM
A distributed biometric vehicle entry system is configured to provide personalized biometric authentication for vehicle entry. The system utilizes an authentication token private key challenge generated a biometric wireless vehicle entry keypad, or a passive device such as a smartphone or fob, such that it would be insufficient for an intruder to simply jump the circuit with an external battery. The biometric authentication may be localized to an embedded system within the biometric vehicle entry keypad, and may be self-contained from all other vehicle systems with a wireless vehicle interface and independent power supply. The vehicle may grant access responsive to receiving the authentication token (and only the authentication token) whenever a valid biometric signature is recognized.

SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING OPERATIONS OF A VEHICLE USING MOBILE DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to aspects of authenticating a mobile device and providing a vehicle access key thereto when a previously registered mobile device is not accessible. In one aspect of the present disclosure, a method includes requesting at a first mobile device, access to a profile associated with controlling operations of a vehicle, the profile having stored thereon an access key for operating the vehicle, the access key having been previously installed on a second mobile device. The method further includes upon successful authorization, receiving the access key at the first device and operating the vehicle using the access key on the first mobile device.
Engine starting device
An engine starting device includes: a portable unit including a transmitting unit capable of transmitting an ID code inherent to a vehicle; a control unit having a substrate on which a receiving unit receiving the ID code, and a determination unit configured to determine whether the received ID code is a pre-registered legitimate ID are formed; a main body part including an operation knob rotationally operated between an off position and an on position, and fixed between a bar-shaped handle and a speed meter of the vehicle; and a regulation unit configured to regulate a rotational operation of the operation knob, and to release a rotation-regulated state of the operation knob on condition that the received ID code is determined as a legitimate ID. The main body part, the control unit and the regulation unit are integrally formed to configure an integral unit.
VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEM AND VEHICLE
A display system is provided in a vehicle and includes: an HUD positioned inside the vehicle and configured so as to display, on the vehicle window, a surrounding environment video indicating the environment surrounding the vehicle; and a display control unit controlling the HUD such that the surrounding environment video is displayed on the window in accordance with prescribed conditions associated to the vehicle or the environment surrounding the vehicle and configured so as to reduce the transmittance of the window.
Method for locking and/or unlocking a vehicle
A method for locking and/or unlocking a vehicle having an input device for a code on the vehicle, via which the vehicle can be locked and/or unlocked, involves requesting the code via a mobile device having a mobile number registered to the respective vehicle with a data server. After the request, the data server generates a current code and send this to the mobile device and to the vehicle. The code can then be input via the input device and compared to the code sent to the vehicle and, should they match, locking and/or unlocking of the vehicle is enabled.
Car sharing system
A car sharing system includes a car sharing device that actuates an onboard device by performing communication with an electronic key system through ID verification when a user operates the onboard device in an authentication completion state in which key information has been authenticated through wireless communication with the portable terminal, a radio wave checker that checks radio waves transmitted from the electronic key system in accordance with a state of a vehicle power supply when the onboard device is operated with the portable terminal and a key control request corresponding to the operation with the portable terminal is transmitted from the portable terminal to the car sharing device so that the car sharing device actuates the electronic key system, and a warning controller that issues a warning indicating that one has forgotten to stop the vehicle power supply in accordance with a checking result of the radio wave checker.
Vehicle-mounted terminal device, server device, and terminal device
In a vehicle-mounted terminal device configured to be mounted on a vehicle and capable of communicating with a server device, a communication unit transmits identification information of a driver of the vehicle to the server device and receives personal setting information, indicating a setting state of a vehicle-mounted apparatus, transmitted from the server device and related to the identification information of the driver. A setting unit makes setting of a vehicle-mounted apparatus on the vehicle based on the personal setting information received at the communication unit. When the authentication of the driver is completed and when a power supply of the vehicle is turned on, the communication unit receives personal setting information for a vehicle-mounted apparatus, transmitted from the server device and related to the identification information of the driver.
VEHICLE CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle control apparatus is mounted on a vehicle to perform wireless communication with a portable terminal. The vehicle control apparatus includes a first processor configured to execute a first process including a determination process that determines whether or not a received signal, which is a wireless signal received by an antenna mounted on the vehicle and encoded, is a regular wireless signal transmitted from the portable terminal by determining whether or not a counted number of short bits sandwiched by two long bits adjacent to each other in the received signal is an even number.
AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM
An authentication system that includes a first information processing device and a second information processing device for requesting an authentication device to perform first authentication based on a challenge-response method. The first information processing device performs second authentication with the second information processing device and requests the authentication device to issue a challenge on condition that the second authentication is established. The second information processing device generates a response corresponding to the challenge issued by the authentication device.
