Mitter wringer
09707939 · 2017-07-18 · ·

A handheld mitter wringer tool is provided for cleansing build-up from hanging mitters. For example, one can expel build-up from a mitter, which is secured at one end to a fixed structure, by indenting the mitter between two non-cutting surfaces that extend across the width of the mitter, while moving the two surfaces along the mitter away from the secured end. Thus, a mitter wringer tool may have a pair of elongate plates that are operatively connected for movement from a fully-opened position, in which working faces of the plates are displaced apart for receiving a mitter, to a working position, in which the working faces are closely opposed and generally parallel for slidably gripping and wringing the mitter.

A wrap around station of a car wash including a cross piece comprising one or more cross beams and a pair of roller assemblies disposed on the cross piece. Each roller assembly includes one or more first rollers with a substantially vertical axis of rotation, and one or more second rollers with a substantially horizontal axis of rotation. Each of the one or more first and second rollers are arranged to rotate in contact with at least one of the one or more cross beams. A pair of linear actuators are configured to move the roller assemblies along the cross piece. A first side brush and a second side brush are each pivotally and rotatably attached to a corresponding one of the roller assemblies so that the first and second side brushes are moveable along the cross piece and pivotable relative to the cross piece and relative to one another.

Data exchange between a mobile terminal and a control module of a car wash for feedback of evaluation signals

A system for modifying process data of a car wash based on captured evaluations of vehicle washes performed on the car wash, comprising: a set of mobile terminals, each adapted to perform an algorithmic evaluation process; and a control module, implemented on the car wash, for controlling and/or regulating the car wash based on the detected feedback signals encoding evaluations of vehicle washes performed on the car wash, and in data communication with the mobile terminals via the control interface.

Determining a geometric center position of a vehicle

The present disclosure relates to a washing system with a device for determining a geometric mid position of a vehicle positioned within the washing system. For this purpose, positions of two movable carriages, on each of which a lateral cleaning brush is mounted, are detected and used to calculate the mid position.

Car wash tool and method of use

A car wash tool, the car wash tool including a shaft, wherein the shaft is configured to rotate about a rotation axis; and a plurality of washing components configured to rotate along with the rotation of the shaft, wherein each of the plurality of washing components includes a first section, mechanically connected to the shaft, including a plurality of layers, wherein the plurality of washing components comprise at least a portion including different lengths of the first section; and a second section, wherein the second section includes a plurality of fingers configured to make contact with a surface of a vehicle.

Method for operating a vehicle treatment system, vehicle treatment system, use of a vehicle treatment system, and computer program product

A method for operating a vehicle treatment system, in particular a vehicle washing system, includes treating at least one vehicle surface with at least one rotating brush with a brush material at an immersion depth of the brush, and controlling during the treatment of the vehicle surface, the rotating brush based on a setpoint value for the friction of the brush material on the vehicle surface, the immersion depth of the rotating brush on the vehicle surfaces treated therewith being monitored at the setpoint value during the treatment of the vehicle surface in order to determine the state of the brush material. In addition, a vehicle treatment apparatus, a use thereof, and a computer program product are provided.

A pivot arm assembly for a washing apparatus includes a pivot arm assembly having a vertical support; a pivot arm extending from the vertical support and pivotable with respect to the vertical support; a spindle extending from the pivot arm, the spindle including an upper spindle portion and a lower spindle portion, the lower spindle portion being arranged at an acute angle with respect to the upper spindle portion; a mitter frame coupled to the pivot arm at the lower spindle portion and a plurality of mitter strips attached to and extending downward from the mitter frame; and the pivot arm being pivotable about at least a 90 degree range of motion with respect to the vertical support.

Pendulum rocker brush assembly for a vehicle wash system

A pendulum rocker brush for a vehicle wash system is provided including a rocker arm, a rotatable coupler, a motor assembly, and a rocker brush head. Both the rocker brush head and motor assembly can be suspended from the coupler, freely dangling therefrom under the force of gravity, in an unbiased manner. The rocker brush head can pivot relative to the rocker arm through a swing angle between 5 and 45 degrees relative to vertical. The rotatable coupler and rocker brush head can be disposed at a pivoting angle between 10 and 45 degrees relative to a conveyor direction which a vehicle follows. When the rocker brush head encounters an opposing force above a movement threshold from the vehicle, the rocker brush head and the motor assembly can swing outward to the swing angle and at the pivoting angle so the vehicle is not damaged.
