Brake booster assembly
A brake booster assembly and method of operation thereof are provided. The assembly includes a rack moveable along a first axis. A sensor is coupled with the rack for sensing force and displacement of the rack and outputting a proportional signal. A clutch subassembly is disposed adjacent and coupled to the rack and includes a drum and a hub in a spaced relationship with the drum. A motor is disposed adjacent the rack and coupled to the clutch subassembly for rotating the drum. A magnetorheological fluid is disposed between the drum and the hub. An electromagnet is disposed about the clutch subassembly for generating an electromagnetic field to affect the viscosity of the magnetorheological fluid. A controller is electrically connected to the electromagnet and to the sensor and to the motor for controlling the motor and the electromagnetic field of the electromagnet in response to the signal from the sensor.
BRAKE MECHANISM
A brake mechanism is provided, including: a main body, for connecting to a vehicle, having a penetrating hole for a wire to dispose therethrough, the wire having an insertion end which is smaller than the penetrating hole in radial dimension; a handle, restrictably pivoted to the main body via a pivot portion, having an assembling portion; the insertion end being directly axially penetrable through the penetrating hole to be fixedly connected to the assembling portion.
Single link type drive assistance system for handicapped person
A single link type drive assistance system for a handicapped person may include a control bar configured to make a hinge joint connected to a steering column to form a rotation center at time of up and down operations at a lower portion of a steering wheel, a pedal operation link configured to include an inner tube connected to the control bar to deliver a down operation force using a brake pedal and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube, the outer tube moving along with the inner tube at the time of the down operation to operate the brake pedal and slidably moving with respect to the inner tube without a motion of the inner tube connected to the brake pedal at the time of the up operation, and an accelerator cable unit applied with a sliding motion of the outer tube to operate an accelerator pedal.

A powered balancing mobility device that can provide the user the ability to safely navigate expected environments of daily living including the ability to maneuver in confined spaces and to climb curbs, stairs, and other obstacles, and to travel safely and comfortably in vehicles. The mobility device can provide elevated, balanced travel.
Integrated system for a powered handbrake on a locomotive
A powered hand brake for locomotive brakes that latches a brake chain into a locked position after the brake cylinder has applied the locomotive brakes. A computer controlled brake system may be interconnected to the brake cylinder and the latch and programmed to set the latch into the latched position when the brake cylinder has moved the locomotive brake into the applied position. An actuator is coupled to the brake chain to take up slack in the brake chain as the brake chain moves between the first and second positions. The actuator can comprise a motor or a tensioning cylinder that takes up slack in the brake chain after the brakes have been applied. Alternatively, the actuator may comprise a linkage connecting the brake chain to the locomotive brake so that the slack in the brake chain is taken up as the brakes are applied.
Motorized Wheelbarrow
A motorized wheelbarrow including a motor and a drive pulley that rotates when the motor is operating. The motorized wheelbarrow also includes wheels and a drive train assembly for transmitting power from the motor to the wheels. The motorized wheelbarrow also includes a clutch assembly movable between a connected condition, in which the motor and the drive train assembly are connected by the clutch assembly, and a disconnected condition, in which the motor and the drive train assembly are not connected with each other, and a brake assembly movable between an engaged condition, in which the brake assembly resists rotation of the wheels, and a disengaged condition, in which the brake assembly does not resist rotation of the wheels. Both of the clutch assembly and the brake assembly are controlled by a single control assembly so that the clutch assembly and the brake assembly are mutually functionally exclusive.
METHOD AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING A PARKING BRAKE FOR A VEHICLE, AND PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A method for controlling a parking brake for a vehicle, including: reading in a request signal which represents a requested activation of the parking brake, and travel data of the vehicle, wherein the parking brake has at least one spring mechanism and is assigned to at least one axle of the vehicle; and generating an activation signal, for activating the parking brake, using the request signal and the travel data, wherein the activation signal brings about pulsed activation of the parking brake for an adjustable time period, to control the parking brake. Also described are a related control apparatus, a parking brake apparatus, and a computer readable medium.
PARKING BRAKE DEVICE
A parking brake device includes a toggle mechanism including a base member, a connecting member, a brake lever, a junction member that connects an intermediate position of the brake lever with the connecting member. The junction member includes two junction parts that are connected to each other and are rotatable relative to each other. During a process of an operation of the braking lever from a non-operating state of the parking brake device to an operating state of the parking brake device, the two junction parts integrally rotate when an operation angle of the brake lever is equal to or less than a predetermined angle, and one of the two junction parts connected to the intermediate position of the brake lever is rotatable about a connecting portion where the two junction parts are connected.
MASTER CYLINDER WITH SEALING ELEMENT
A sealing element for sealing a pressure chamber is provided in a master cylinder for a clutch or brake system. The sealing element has a sealing lip for sealing a feed of hydraulic fluid from a reservoir mounted on a housing of the master cylinder into the pressure chamber and has a sealing structure for sealing the pressure chamber from the surroundings of the pressure chamber.
Motorcycle front brake master cylinder assembly
A brake assembly has a lever configured to press a knee against a pushrod of a piston of a master cylinder assembly. The knee is configured to receive removable inserts that allow a user to modify the angle at which the lever activates the master cylinder assembly. The master cylinder assembly can include protrusions on the outer surface of the cylinder to protect the cylinder from impact damage.
