CONTROLLER AND CONTROL METHOD
The present invention obtains a controller and a control method capable of appropriately executing automatic emergency deceleration operation of a straddle-type vehicle.
In the controller according to the present invention, when the automatic emergency deceleration operation of the straddle-type vehicle is executed, at a braking start time point at which a braking force starts being generated on at least one of wheels, braking force distribution between the front and rear wheels is brought into an initial state where the braking force is generated on the front wheel. In the control method according to the present invention, when the automatic emergency deceleration operation of the straddle-type vehicle is executed, at the braking start time point at which the braking force starts being generated on at least one of the wheels, the braking force distribution between the front and rear wheels is brought into the initial state where the braking force is generated on the front wheel.

The portable device includes an image display unit, a braking condition transmitting unit, and a braking condition setting unit. The control unit regeneratively brakes the bicycle using the rotating electrical machine in accordance with the braking condition set by the braking condition setting unit. The braking system enables a non-user to set braking conditions for the bicycle and to perform braking based on the conditions set by the non-user.

A position of a center of gravity of a vehicle body is easily optimized. An ABS modulator is disposed in a vicinity of a pivot bracket, which is joined to a lower rear portion of a main frame, and to which a swing arm is swingably connected.
Method and Motor Vehicle
A method and a system for decelerating a single-track motor vehicle, includes using a control unit to determine a total torque of a wheel of the motor vehicle required for a desired riding maneuver, in particular a controlled slip of a rear wheel, determine, a braking partial torque and a motor partial torque as a function of the total torque required, and generate the braking partial torque on the wheel by controlling a brake system of the motor vehicle and generating the motor partial torque on the wheel by controlling a motor of the motor vehicle The invention further includes a single-track motor vehicle configured to execute the decelerating method.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF A HYDRAULIC BRAKING SYSTEM, HYDRAULIC BRAKING SYSTEM, AND VEHICLE
A method for controlling the operation of a hydraulic braking system of a vehicle and in particular a vehicle drivable using muscle power and/or—in particular additionally—using motor power, an electric bicycle, e-bike, pedelec, or the like. In the method, it is checked whether a discharge condition for discharging an accumulator of the braking system is met. If the discharge condition is met, initially a controllable inlet valve in a primary circuit of the braking system is set into a partially closed state over a predefined duty cycle, in particular of 10%, and/or for a predefined time span and then an outlet valve of the accumulator is opened for a predefined time span—continuously or in intervals—so that brake fluid is discharged from the accumulator via the outlet valve, the primary circuit, and the inlet valve into a reservoir of a master cylinder of the primary circuit.
Controller and control method
The present invention obtains a controller and a control method capable of appropriately stabilizing a posture of a straddle-type vehicle. In the controller and the control method according to the present invention, when the straddle-type vehicle jumps, automatic posture control for controlling the posture of the straddle type vehicle by increasing or reducing a rotational frequency of a wheel is executed in accordance with posture information at the time when the straddle-type vehicle jumps. Furthermore, in the case where it is determined whether a driver has intention to control the posture of the straddle-type vehicle at the time when the straddle-type vehicle jumps without relying on the automatic posture control and where it is determined that the driver has the intention, the automatic posture control is prohibited.
BRAKE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM AND STRADDLE-TYPE VEHICLE
To achieve a brake hydraulic pressure control system which makes it possible to suppress an increase of the manufacturing cost as compared to existing brake hydraulic pressure control systems which ground a control board using a coil spring. A brake hydraulic pressure control system according to the present invention includes: a metallic substrate (80) in which a flow channel for brake fluid is formed; and a control board (76) of a hydraulic pressure control mechanism for the brake fluid provided in the flow channel. The brake hydraulic pressure control system according to the present invention further includes at least one conductive plate spring (90) which is provided between the control board (76) and a component that is electrically connected to the substrate (80). The free length of the plate spring (90) is longer than the distance between the control board (76) and the component, and the plate spring (90) has a first end part (93) connected to the control board (76) and a second end part (94) connected to the component.
CONTROLLER AND CONTROL METHOD
The present invention obtains a controller and a control method capable of hastening identification of an object or an event to be focused by a rider of a straddle-type vehicle, the rider having perceived haptic motion.
A controller (51) for a rider-assistance system (50) mounted to a straddle-type vehicle (100) includes: a determination section that determines necessity of a warning given to the rider; and a haptic motion performing section that performs haptic motion at least once to reduce or increase acceleration/deceleration of the straddle-type vehicle (100) only for a moment. The haptic motion performing section changes a priority of each wheel (3, 4) at the time of changing a braking force to reduce or increase the acceleration/deceleration only for the moment in the haptic motion according to a focusing direction that is a direction in which the rider should focus by the warning.
Controller and control method for controlling behavior of motorcycle
A controller for a motorcycle includes a mode change section that changes a mode to a first mode in a state where a temperature of a rear-wheel friction brake mechanism is lower than a first prescribed temperature and to a second mode in a state where the temperature of the rear-wheel friction brake mechanism is higher than the first prescribed temperature during automatic deceleration in the automatic cruise operation. In the case where the braking forces generated on the rear wheel in the first mode and the second mode are compared under a condition that the same deceleration is generated in the motorcycle by the automatic deceleration, in a state where the deceleration is at least less than a first reference amount, the braking force generated on the rear wheel in the second mode is smaller than the braking force generated on the rear wheel in the first mode.
