BEHAVIOR CONTROL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A behavior control apparatus for a vehicle, comprising a control unit that controls braking/driving forces of wheels so that the magnitude of a deviation between a steering angle and a steering angle conversion value of a yaw rate decreases when it is determined that the deviation exceeds a threshold value in magnitude and the vehicle is in an understeer state; the vehicle has a steering device including a variable gear ratio type rack bar; and, when the sign of the steering angle is the same as the sign of the offset amount and the zero point offset amount exceeds a reference value in magnitude, the control device corrects at least one of the threshold value and the magnitude of the deviation according to the steering angle and the zero point offset amount so that it becomes difficult to determine that the magnitude of the deviation exceeds the threshold value.
Method for controlling a hydraulic brake system, and a corresponding device
A method for controlling a hydraulic brake system for a motor vehicle to carry out a braking operation by means of at least one wheel brake includes, in a first step, a pressure buildup in the wheel brake, wherein hydraulic fluid is passed to a wheel brake via a normally open inlet valve. In a second step, a pressure reduction takes place in the wheel brake, wherein hydraulic fluid is discharged from the wheel brake via an energized normally closed outlet valve. The pressure reduction at the wheel brake is accomplished by means of control of the outlet valve in a predefined manner.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BRAKING FORCE OF VEHICLE
An apparatus for controlling a braking force of a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a sensor device that obtains information about an image in front of the vehicle and driving information of the vehicle and a controller that determines a road surface state including a left road surface state and a right road surface state based on the information about the image and the driving information and controls a braking force of left wheels of the vehicle and a braking force of right wheels of the vehicle respectively based on the left road surface state and the right road surface state of the vehicle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO ASSIST MANEUVERING OF A TRAILER BEING TOWED BY A VEHICLE
Methods and systems to assist maneuvering of a trailer being towed by a vehicle. The trailer includes a left wheel, a right wheel, an axle, a left brake device coupled to the left wheel, and a right brake device coupled to the right wheel. The methods and systems receive a driver command for a target path for the trailer, determine a left braking torque for the left wheel and a right braking torque for the right wheel based on the target path so as to provide for differential braking, and apply, via the left brake device and the right brake device, the left braking torque and the right braking torque to assist maneuvering of the trailer along the target path.
Adaptive brake assist system for a cyclist on a bicycle by an haptic feedback
Adaptive brake assist system a cyclist on a bicycle by an aptic feedback, includes a first sensor (for measuring the angular speed (ω.sub.1) of a first wheel of the bicycle, adapted to generate a signal representative of the angular speed of the first wheel; an actuator mountable to a portion of the bicycle, adapted to generate vibrations; a control module configured to generate a command signal of the actuator, so that the actuator vibrates at a vibration frequency (f), based on at least the signal representative of the angular speed of the first wheel (ω.sub.1) and based on one or more reference magnitudes (η.sub.ref); and a learning module configured to determine, updating and delivering to the control module the one or more reference magnitudes (η.sub.ref) based on at least the signal representative of the angular speed (ω.sub.1) of the first wheel.
Brake control apparatus for vehicle
Provided is a brake control apparatus configured to: set a target slip degree of each of three wheels other than an outer front wheel to a slip degree of the outer front wheel; perform feedback control so that an actual slip degree of each of the three wheels becomes close to the target slip degree; and decrease a feedback control amount of a wheel which is to be controlled to increase an anti-spin yaw moment when an understeer suppression condition is satisfied.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING WHETHER A TRAILER IS ATTACHED TO A VEHICLE
A control system for a vehicle for determining whether a trailer is attached to the vehicle, the system being configured to receive an input of pitch data for the vehicle and to determine from the pitch data whether a trailer is attached to the vehicle.
VARIABLE LINKED BRAKING SYSTEM CONTROLLED BY MOTORCYCLE SPEED
A variable linked braking system controlled by motorcycle speed includes a brake master cylinder; a hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve connected to the brake master cylinder by an oil path; front and rear brake units connected to the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve by first and second oil paths, respectively; a hydraulic pressure proportion controller for controlling the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve; a motorcycle speed sensor for converting a sensed motorcycle speed into a speed signal and sending the speed signal to the hydraulic pressure proportion controller; and a brake switch for starting the brake master cylinder and sending a brake signal to the hydraulic pressure proportion controller for controlling the hydraulic pressure distribution proportion of the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve so that the ratio of braking force of the front brake unit to braking force of the rear brake unit increases with the motorcycle speed.
DETECTION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF PITCH RATE SENSOR FAULT
A method of reconstructing a detected faulty signal. A pitch sensor fault is detected by a processor. A signal of the detected faulty pitch sensor is reconstructed using indirect sensor data. The reconstructed signal is output to a controller to maintain stability.
