A brake apparatus, for electrically driven motor vehicles, includes a traction motor at an axle of a vehicle, which traction motor is used both as drive motor and as brake system with recuperation of brake energy, a first piston-cylinder unit, which is actuatable by means of an actuating device, in particular brake pedal, a second piston-cylinder unit, which is actuatable by means of an electromotive drive and a non-hydraulic gearing apparatus, in particular spindle drive. The piston-cylinder units are connected via hydraulic connecting lines to wheel brakes of the motor vehicle. A pressure chamber of the first piston-cylinder unit is connected to two wheel brakes of a vehicle axle, and a pressure chamber of the second piston-cylinder unit is connected to a vehicle axle for active brake force feedback control and recuperation control in interaction with the traction motor.

A vehicle drive device and a control method therefor are provided. The vehicle drive device includes: a power source including a first rotating electrical machine; a second rotating electrical machine; a differential unit including three rotating elements to which a first output shaft, a second output shaft, and the second rotating electrical machine are connected; and an electronic control device. The electronic control device regeneratively controls the first rotating electrical machine and the second rotating electrical machine in such a manner that negative torque is applied to the first output shaft and the second output shaft, when performing regenerative control by the second rotating electrical machine in a drive mode in which torque from the power source is distributed to the first output shaft and the second output shaft by controlling torque of the second rotating electrical machine during deceleration of a vehicle.

A method of brake steering in a four-wheel drive utility vehicle having a driven front axle carrying at least two front wheels, a driven rear axle carrying at least two rear wheels, a powertrain delivering torque to the front and rear axles via a connecting shaft, a controlled clutch arrangement in the connecting shaft operable to vary the distribution of delivered torque between the front and rear axles, and independently operable service brakes on each of the front and rear wheels. The method comprises, on the vehicle entering a turn, applying the service brakes of the front and rear wheels on the inside of the turn and adjusting the clutch arrangement to adapt the share of the available torque between the front and rear axles. Additional braking force may be applied from independently operable park brakes on the rear wheels in inverse relationship to the level of service brake force applied.

The invention relates to a method for controlling a braking system for setting a total braking torque distribution between a first and a second axle of a motor vehicle. The braking system includes a friction braking device and a recuperative braking device. The braking system has a total braking torque composed of a friction braking torque portion and a recuperative braking torque portion. The method include determining, for one axle, a minimal recuperation torque, which is set on that axle, and remains set on that axle for all driving situations as a recuperative braking torque portion.
Brake control device
