TOWED ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE CONTROL
An electrified vehicle includes a human-machine interface to enable a towed vehicle mode to enable electric pumps to lubricate and/or cool vehicle components and to disable driver assistance features while the electrified vehicle is being towed by another vehicle. The electrified vehicle includes a drivetrain having an electric machine configured to provide propulsive torque to vehicle wheels, a high-voltage traction battery selectively connected to the electric machine, a battery powered fluid pump configured to pump fluid to the drivetrain, and a controller programmed to, after receiving a signal enabling towed vehicle operation of the electrified vehicle, control operation of the battery powered fluid pump while the electrified vehicle is being towed. The controller may disable one or more driver assistance features and alerts such as automatic emergency braking, automatic shifting of the drivetrain, automatic parking brake operation, automatic headlights, automatic steering, cruise control, parking assistance, and external object distance detection.
ELECTROPNEUMATIC HAND BRAKE (EPH) HAVING INTEGRATED TCV (EUROPEAN AND SCANDINAVIAN CONTROL)

The electropneumatic control module further includes an immobilizing brake unit, which has a spring-type actuator port for at least one spring-type actuator for a tractor vehicle and an immobilizing brake valve unit with one or more electropneumatic valves, and an electronic control unit, wherein the electronic control unit is designed to, based on an electronic immobilizing signal, trigger the immobilizing brake valve unit to switch at least one valve of the immobilizing brake valve unit.
Method and a system for controlling vehicle speed
A device and a method for controlling vehicle speed in a vehicle equipped with brake cruise control when the vehicle is travelling downhill are provided. The method involves driving a vehicle downhill with the brake set speed set to a first brake set speed; detecting a current vehicle speed; automatically applying a brake torque using at least an auxiliary brake to maintain the first brake set speed; and detecting a manual application of a vehicle service brake, in order to decrease vehicle speed. If a control unit detects that the driver is applying the service brake, then the control unit is automatically arranged to set the brake set speed to a second brake set speed that is lower than the first brake set speed; and to apply a brake torque using at least the auxiliary brake if a detected current vehicle speed exceeds the second brake set speed.
Tractor protection valve assembly and electro-pneumatic brake system of a tractor vehicle
An electro-pneumatic tractor protection valve assembly (8) including a trailer supply input (84) for receiving a supply pressure, a trailer service output (87) for delivering a trailer supply pressure, a first supply input (81) for receiving a primary driver brake pressure, a second supply input (82) for receiving a secondary driver brake pressure, a dual brake valve (14) actuated by a brake pedal (10) and supplying the brake control pressures, a vent opening (86) for venting an internal conduit, a first electrically controlled pneumatic valve (92) to receive a first electric control signal for trailer assistance braking, and a trailer control output (85) for delivering a trailer brake control pressure. The valve assembly includes one single casing (8a) accommodating the first supply input (81), the second supply input (82), the trailer supply input (84), the trailer control output (85), the vent opening (86) and the trailer service output (87).
Electronic brake system for a trailer
An electronic brake system for a trailer with a pneumatic brake installation is disclosed. The electronic brake system comprises a brake controller (18) in the trailer (11) connected to a first communication device (20) that is part of a first communication channel (23) for wirelessly receiving brake signals of a towing vehicle (10). The electronic brake system also comprises a second communication channel for receiving brake signals of the towing vehicle. The brake controller (18) converts the brake signals of the first communication channel (23) into brake commands for the pneumatic brake installation only if brake signals arrive via the second communication channel (24) at the same time or within a defined time window. The time window begins as soon as a brake signal arrives on one of the first and second communication channels (23, 24).
Towing vehicle controller using trailer braking strategy and trailer braking control method
A braking controller and method in a towing vehicle towing one or more towed vehicles as a combination vehicle provides brake control of the one or more towed vehicles based on a level of braking force applied to the towing vehicle. A non-enhanced braking mode applies a first level of braking force to the towed vehicles in a predetermined reduced proportion relative to the level of braking force applied to the towing vehicle, and an enhanced braking mode applies a second level of braking force to the towed vehicles greater than the first level of braking force. A controller deceleration command input receives a deceleration command signal which is compared against predetermined threshold deceleration rate value or against a current deceleration value being executed by the combination vehicle and, based on a result of the comparisons, either the enhanced or the non-enhanced braking modes are implemented by the controller.
