The actuator is configured to switch the valve device between three different positions whereat the pressure medium connections are connected to or block from each other in different combinations.
Method for operating a hydraulic brake system of a motor vehicle and a hydraulic braking system
A method for operating a hydraulic brake system of a motor vehicle, comprising a pressure generating device used to build up additional brake pressure in a master brake cylinder or in addition to a master brake cylinder and in opposition to further pedal actuation wherein the additional pressure is a function of the pedal actuation travel distance. A method that reduces the limitations of a braking system's physical parameters on the build-up of additional braking pressure.
Method for operating a brake system for a vehicle and control device for a brake system of a vehicle
A method for operating a brake system for a vehicle, the brake system including a master brake cylinder coupled to an electromechanical brake booster having a booster body. The method involves: From an initial position, displacing the booster body relative to the master brake cylinder by an adjusting travel in the direction towards the master brake cylinder into an end position; from the end position, displacing the booster body relative to the master brake cylinder by the same adjusting travel in an opposite direction away from the master brake cylinder back into the initial position; during the step of displacing the booster body from the end position back into the initial position, sucking hydraulic fluid from wheel brake devices that coupled in a fluid manner with the brake system and assigned to wheels of the vehicle, for the reduction of a hydraulic fluid pressure existing in the wheel brake devices.
Electrohydraulic motor vehicle brake system and method for operating the same
The invention relates to a technique for operating an electrohydraulic motor vehicle brake system comprising a master cylinder, an electromechanical actuator for generating a hydraulic pressure at a plurality of wheel brakes and a set of electrically actuable valve arrangements. The set of valve arrangements comprises a first valve arrangement between the master cylinder and every wheel brake. The first valve arrangements can be controlled in the multiplex operation to generate, by means of the electromechanical actuator, the respective brake pressure intended for each of the wheel brakes. According to an aspect of this technique, the method comprises the steps of: generating a feedback current during the multiplex operation by operating an electric motor of the electromechanical actuator as a generator and supplying the feedback current to at least one electrical load.
Method for carrying out a braking procedure in a vehicle
In a method for carrying out a braking procedure in a vehicle having a hydraulic brake system, when the brake temperature exceeds a boundary value hydraulic fluid is intermediately stored in a storage chamber, and when brake fading occurs the hydraulic fluid is pumped back into the brake circuit.
Brake system for a motor vehicle and method for controlling the same
The invention relates to a hybrid brake system having a hydraulic service brake system and an electromechanical service brake system. According to the invention, a brake booster is designed as a pedal simulator, which can be used to boost power and to generate a pedal power which is counter to the direction of actuation. When the hydraulic service brake system fails, the electromechanical service brake system is used for braking and the brake booster generates a pedal power which allows or facilitates dosage of the brake actuation.
Brake booster with tunable release
A vehicle brake booster includes a brake input member configured to receive a braking input force and a booster housing divided into a first chamber adjacent the brake input member and a second chamber remote from the brake input member. A poppet valve includes a poppet valve body and a poppet seal, the poppet valve operable to maintain separation between pressure and vacuum during assisted braking and further being operable to enable evacuation of the air from the first chamber through one or more side ports of the poppet valve body upon release of the braking input force and completion of the assisted braking A restrictor element provides a predetermined release speed for the booster. The one or more side ports define a total flow resistance of the poppet valve body which is less than an effective total flow resistance of the poppet valve body set by the restrictor element.
HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM
A hydraulic braking system and a method for operating the hydraulic braking system. The hydraulic braking system has a first pressure generating unit and a second pressure generating unit. The first pressure generating unit is hydraulically interruptibly and uncircumventably connected to the second pressure generating unit via a first interrupting element in such a way that with the first interrupting means in a closed position, a hydraulic connection between the first and second pressure generating unit is no longer possible.
Vehicle braking system
A vehicle braking system includes a master cylinder. In a delivery line of the master cylinder there is a pressure transfer device, which generates a pressure in a hydraulic actuating line of a respective brake device following a fluid pressure communicated to a first inlet of the pressure transfer device from the delivery line and/or following a fluid pressure supplied to a second inlet of the pressure transfer device from an electrically-operated fluid pressure source. An electronic controller controls an enabling/disabling solenoid valve, and the electrically-operated fluid pressure source to create different operating modes of the system. The system does not include any vacuum-operated servo-assisting devices. The master cylinder is associated with a hydraulic device for adjusting the feeling on the brake pedal, in which a fluid pressure is generated that opposes the brake pedal actuation. The electronic controller controls the pressure in the device for adjustment of the feeling on the pedal.
