BRAKE DEVICE

A brake device for a brake-by-wire system includes a brake pedal, a sensor, a reaction force generator, and a reaction force changing mechanism. The brake pedal is rotatably mounted on a housing and not mechanically connected to a hydraulic pressure generator. The sensor outputs a signal corresponding to a stroke amount of the brake pedal to an electronic control unit. The reaction force generator has one end connected to the brake pedal and the other end connected to the housing so as to generate a reaction force against a depression force applied to the brake pedal by a driver. The reaction force changing mechanism generates a reaction force against a depression force applied to the brake pedal by the driver, and is able to change a magnitude of the reaction force in advance according to the driver.

Bicycle control device

A bicycle control device includes a housing member, a control lever member, a shift-operating mechanism and a hydraulic fluid pressure generator. The housing member has an attachment part for attachment to a handlebar, and a grip part extending longitudinally between first and second ends of the grip part. The attachment part is provided on the first end of the grip part. The attachment part is provided on the first end of the grip part. The control lever member is pivotally provided with respect to the housing member. The shift-operating mechanism is supported by the housing member. The shift-operating mechanism includes a control cable attachment part that is configured to be coupled to a shifting device by a control cable. The hydraulic fluid pressure generator has a cylinder provided in the grip part of the housing member, and a piston movably disposed within the cylinder by movement of the control lever member to generate fluid pressure for controlling a braking device. The cylinder is disposed closer to the second end of the grip part than the shift-operating mechanism.

BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR RETROFITTING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A DUAL-POSITION BRAKE SYSTEM
20170344048 · 2017-11-30 · ·

An assembly for actuating a vehicle's brake system from a dual-driver position includes an auxiliary brake pedal coupled to the vehicle remotely from the primary brake pedal. A master cylinder's piston is actuated when the auxiliary brake pedal pivots, and a hydraulic line provides hydraulic fluid to and removes hydraulic fluid from a slave cylinder in response. A lever is provided near the primary brake pedal and has one end coupled to the slave cylinder. The lever pivots in response to provision or removal of hydraulic fluid to or from the slave cylinder. A connector is coupled to the lever's opposite end and moves with the lever. The connector is coupled to a movable member that directly applies force to a rod of a primary brake system actuator and applies force to the movable member at the same location where the primary brake pedal applies force to the movable member.

BRAKING APPARATUS FOR A VEHICLE

A brake system performs a repeatable brake operation of a vehicle. The brake system includes a main unit having an electrical power circuit, a micro programmable logic controller, an air compressor, a compressed air tank, a pressure regulator, a solenoid valve, and a pneumatic control circuit, a driver control box for controlling the system, and a pneumatic cylinder for performing the repeatable brake operation, the pneumatic cylinder being attached to a brake pedal.

TRACTOR

A tractor includes: a vehicle body; an engine compartment; a driving unit that: is disposed behind the engine compartment, and includes: a brake pedal that includes: a support shaft; and a pedal arm portion; a master cylinder that is operated by the brake pedal and disposed further toward a vehicle-body back side than the support shaft; and a return spring that biases the brake pedal to swing back to a brake off position; and a partition that: is disposed further toward a vehicle-body front side than the brake pedal, and separates the engine compartment and the driving unit from each other, the return spring being engaged to the partition and to the pedal arm portion.
