A brake-system damping device includes a first chamber, to which hydraulic pressure is to be applied, a second chamber, in which there is a compressible medium, and a first separating element for separating the first chamber from the second chamber. The brake-system damping device includes a third chamber, in which there is a compressible medium, and a second separating element for separating the second chamber from the third chamber. The second chamber is connected, for medium conduction, to the third chamber by means of a passage formed in the second separating element. A closure element is to be moved with the first separating element, by means of which closure element the passage is to be closed as soon as the hydraulic pressure has reached predefined pressure value in the first chamber.

Military vehicle

A brake system includes a brake actuator configured to engage a brake to limit movement of a tractive element, an air-to-hydraulic intensifier coupled to the brake actuator where the air-to-hydraulic intensifier is configured to receive a supply of air and provide a hydraulic fluid to the brake actuator based on the supply of air to overcome a brake biasing force of the brake actuator to disengage the brake actuator from the brake to permit movement of the tractive element, a hydraulic reservoir coupled to the air-to-hydraulic intensifier, and a valve. The valve includes a first port fluidly coupled to the air-to-hydraulic intensifier, a second port fluidly coupled to the hydraulic reservoir, a third port fluidly coupled to the brake actuator, and a valve gate that is repositionable between a first position that couples the first port to the third port and a second position that couples the second port to the third port.

Vehicle crane having hydropneumatic suspension and a braking system comprising at least two braking circuits

A vehicle crane having a hydropneumatic suspension and a braking system including wheel brakes and a first braking circuit assigned to the wheel brakes of at least one vehicle axle and a second braking circuit assigned to the wheel brakes of at least one other vehicle axle. In order to adapt the actuation of the braking system to the weight state, the hydropneumatic suspension is coupled to an automatically load-dependent braking force regulator that is operatively connected to one of the braking circuits or to one of their braking circuit sections such that, on the basis of a weight state signal of the vehicle crane generated from the hydropneumatic suspension, a braking pressure generated inside the braking circuit or braking circuit section coupled to the automatically load-dependent braking force regulator, can be varied with respect to a braking pressure generated simultaneously inside the other braking circuit or braking circuit section.

METHOD FOR THE BRAKE CONTROL OF A VEHICLE COMBINATION

A method of brake control of a vehicle combination (2) composed of a tractor vehicle (4) with an electronically controlled braking system (5) and a trailer vehicle (6, 8) with a pneumatically controlled pneumatic braking system (7, 9), involves introducing the brake control pressure (p.sub.BC) of the trailer vehicle (6, 8) into a tractor brake control line (19) extending to a tractor vehicle-side “brake” coupling head (26) via an electronically controlled trailer control valve (13) of the tractor vehicle (4). At the beginning of a braking operation, a pressure pulse (34) exceeding a target brake control pressure (p.sub.BC_soll) is introduced into the tractor brake control line (19). The volume of a trailer brake control line (28, 29, 32) coupled to the “brake” coupling head (26) is ascertained, and the absolute value (Δp.sub.PI) and/or the duration (Δt.sub.PI) of the pressure pulse (34) introduced are/is established depending on the ascertained volume.
