20170307071 · 2017-10-26 ·

A method for operating a drivetrain of a motor vehicle, includes, when the motor vehicle is at a standstill and upon demand for a drive torque of the motor vehicle, increasing power (25p) supplied to a separate electric pump drive (25) such that a pressure chamber whose pressurization effects a complete closure or lock-up of a launch element (3) is fast charged with hydraulic pressure from a pump (24). The method also includes performing a launch process of the motor vehicle with the drive source (1) and with a closed or locked-up launch element (3) and reducing the power (25p) supplied to the separate electric pump drive (25) after fast charging the pressure chamber. A related drive train module is also provided.

Method for Operating a Drive Train of a Motor Vehicle, and Drive Train Module of Said Motor Vehicle

A method for operating a drive train of a motor vehicle includes performing a startup operation of the motor vehicle or a stopping operation of the motor vehicle. A starting component (3) is engaged or bridged during the startup operation or the stopping operation of the motor vehicle. The startup operation is driven by a drive source (1). The method also includes comparing an actual value of an output shaft (22) based variable with a target value of the output shaft (22) based variable during the startup operation or the stopping operation and, on reaching or exceeding a specific deviation of the actual value from the target value, moving the starting component (3) into a slipping state. The starting component (3) transmits torque in the slipping state. A related drive train module for a motor vehicle is also provided.

METHOD OF DECREASING VIBRATION DURING RELEASE OF STOP GEAR OF VEHICLE
20170297560 · 2017-10-19 ·

A method of decreasing vibration during release of a stop gear of a vehicle can be applied to an eco-friendly vehicle for decreasing vibration generated when a driver releases a P step of a gear lever while torsion occurs in a drive shaft of the vehicle. Reaction force torque of a driving motor is controlled so as to output reaction force that has been generated in a parking sprag by a driving motor when torsion occurs in the drive shaft after entrance of the gear lever into the P step, so as to decrease vibration generated because torsion reaction force of the drive shaft vanishes at the same time.

Vehicle and method of controlling engine start for the same

Disclosed are a vehicle and an engine control method for more conveniently restarting an engine in the state in which a function of automatically turning off the engine is activated during braking for improving fuel efficiency. The engine control method includes turning off an engine through an idle stop and go (ISG) system during braking due to manipulation of a brake pedal, determining whether at least one preset starting condition is satisfied based on information on a forward environment, and turning on the engine irrespective of whether manipulation of the brake pedal is released when any one of the at least one starting condition is satisfied.

Method and apparatus of propelling a vehicle

A vehicle includes a clutch that couples an engine to a transmission via a flywheel, a clutch actuator, and a controller configured to receive an obstructed launch command, elevate an engine operation, for a fixed period of time, beyond a typical launch operation upon receipt of the obstructed launch command, and engage the clutch against the flywheel for at least a portion of the fixed period of time.

Dynamic positioning (DP) drive-off (DO) mitigation with inertial navigation system

Systems and methods for determining if a vessel is experiencing a drive-off event, identifying a subsystem causing the drive-off event, and controlling a vessel to correct the drive-off event are disclosed. The determining may include processing, with a processor of the dynamic positioning control system, a modeled vessel motion and a measured vessel motion to determine whether there is a discrepancy between the modeled vessel motion and the measured vessel motion. The dynamic positioning (DP) control system may then take action to control vessel motion based, at least in part, on the processing of the modeled vessel motion and the measured vessel motion.

METHOD OF CONTROLLING A MOTOR VEHICLE

A method of controlling the operating mode of a motor vehicle includes transitioning between driving and coasting modes and vice-versa automatically in response to a driver trigger. The method controls an engine of the motor vehicle to bring a driveline driven by the engine via an electronically controlled clutch into a lash state before engaging or disengaging the electronically controlled clutch thereby preventing driveline disturbances from being produced by the transition.

ROUGH TERRAIN VEHICLE

In a rough terrain vehicle, at a time of preparing to start movement, in a case that a left paddle switch and a right paddle switch are operated together with an accelerator pedal, an ECU disengages a clutch of an automatic transmission, and causes an output of an engine to increase. On the other hand, at a time of starting movement, in a case that the left paddle switch and the right paddle switch are returned to their initial positions, the ECU engages the clutch and transmits the output of the engine from the engine to vehicle wheels via the automatic transmission, to thereby rapidly start movement of the rough terrain vehicle.
