Systems and methods for operating a driveline of a vehicle that includes an automatic transmission and a torque converter are described. In one example, vehicle launch is controlled according to a linear quadratic regulator that provides feedback control according to torque converter slip error and vehicle speed error. The vehicle launch is also controlled according to feed forward control that is based on requested torque converter slip and requested vehicle speed.
System, method, and processor-readable medium for autonomous vehicle reliability assessment
A system, method, and processor-readable medium for assessing the reliability of vehicle systems used in an autonomous vehicle. The assessment may be performed at least in part on the basis of data collected by one or more of the vehicle's sensors. The result of the assessment may be used as the basis for decisions about vehicle operation carried out by an autonomous driving module.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VELOCITY OF AUTONOMOUS DRIVING VEHICLE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An apparatus and a method for controlling a velocity of an autonomous driving vehicle is provided. The method includes steps of: obtaining information of an environment surrounding the vehicle when an obstacle is detected to be on a planning path of the vehicle; obtaining an initial reference velocity profile of the vehicle; determining a safety factor based on the initial reference velocity profile, the information of the environment and information of the vehicle, wherein the safety factor at least comprises a safety distance between the vehicle and the obstacle for the vehicle to follow the obstacle; determining an optimized reference velocity profile based on the information of the environment, the information of the vehicle and the safety factor; and performing the step of determining the safety factor by using the optimized reference velocity profile as the initial reference velocity profile and the step of determining the optimized reference velocity iteratively.
DRIVING FORCE CONTROL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
The driving force ECU calculates a restricted driving force for a driving force restricting control, by using a Proportional-Integral-Differential control formula which utilizes a difference between a target acceleration varied depending on a vehicle speed and an actual acceleration of the vehicle. The driving force ECU adjusts (changes) a proportion gain K1 of the Proportional-Integral-Differential control formula based on an inclination angle of a road in such a manner that a value of the proportion gain K1 used when the inclination inclination angle is relatively large is smaller than a value of the proportion gain K1 used when the inclination inclination angle is relatively small. The driving force ECU performs a driving force restricting control by selecting, as a target driving force used for the driving force restricting control, a pedal required driving force or the restricted driving force, whichever is smaller.
LANE CHANGING METHOD, DEVICE FOR DRIVERLESS VEHICLE AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A lane changing method, device for a driverless vehicle and a computer-readable storage medium are provided. The lane changing method includes: determining candidate lanes, to which a lane changing is to be performed, based on a travelling intention of a main vehicle; screening the candidate lanes based on lane changing conditions of the candidate lanes; selecting, from the screened candidate lanes, a target lane, to which the lane changing of the main vehicle is to be performed; determining whether the lane changing of the main vehicle from a current lane to the target lane is safe; and performing the lane changing, if the lane changing is determined to be safe.
DRIVING FORCE CONTROL APPARATUS
A controller of a driving force control apparatus starts shift-change-timing restrain control to limit operation driving force at a timing when a starting condition including a condition that a shift position has changed when an accelerator pedal is in an operating state becomes satisfied, and performs reverse-timing restrain control to limit the operation driving force when a performing condition including a condition that the accelerator pedal is in the operating state as well as the shift position is in a reverse position is satisfied. When a specific operation is performed during the shift-change-timing restrain control being performed, the controller moderates a degree of the limitation to the operation driving force in the shift-change-timing restrain control or stops this control. When the specific operation is performed during the reverse-timing restrain control being performed, the controller maintains a degree of the limitation to the operation driving force in the reverse-timing restrain control.
