Vehicle control system
In a vehicle control system (1, 101), a control unit (15) is configured to execute a stop process by which the vehicle is parked in a prescribed stop position located within a permitted distance when it is detected that the control unit or the driver has become incapable of properly maintaining a traveling state of the vehicle, and, in executing the stop process, the control unit computes an agreement between an object (X) contained in the map information based on an estimated position of the vehicle and an object (Y) on the road detected by an external environment recognition device (6), the permitted distance being smaller when the agreement is below a prescribed agreement threshold than when the agreement is equal to or above the agreement threshold.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SERVER, PROCESSING METHOD OF INFORMATION PROCESSING SERVER, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing server includes a target vehicle data recognition unit configured to recognize target vehicle data including a traveling state of a target vehicle and position information of the target vehicle on a map, an unstable behavior position recognition unit configured to recognize an unstable behavior position which is a position on the map, at which at least one target vehicle has performed an unstable behavior, based on a plurality of pieces of the target vehicle data, a determination unit configured to determine whether the unstable behavior position is in a continuous occurrence situation or a discontinuous situation, based on whether or not a plurality of the target vehicles perform the unstable behavior at the unstable behavior position, and a storage processing unit configured to store a determination result by the determination unit, in a storage database in association with the unstable behavior position.
Method and apparatus for controlling autonomous driving vehicle
A method and an apparatus for controlling an autonomous driving vehicle are provided. The method includes: receiving environment information sent by an autonomous driving vehicle, the environment information including vehicle exterior environment information; determining whether the autonomous driving vehicle is in an abnormal operation status, based on the vehicle exterior environment information and operation information of an operation executed by the autonomous driving vehicle; and sending a braking control instruction and a data acquisition instruction to the autonomous driving vehicle, in response to determining that the autonomous driving vehicle is in the abnormal operation status, the braking control instruction being used for controlling braking of the autonomous driving vehicle, and the data acquisition instruction being used for acquiring data of a driving recorder in the autonomous driving vehicle.
Avoidance of obscured roadway obstacles
The systems and methods described herein disclose detecting obstacles in a vehicular environment using host vehicle input and associated trust levels. As described here, measured vehicles, either manual or autonomous, that detect an obstacle in the environment will operate to respond to the obstacle. As such, those movements can be used to determine if an obstacle exists in the environment, even if the obstacle cannot be detected directly. The systems and methods can include a host vehicle receiving prediction data about an evasive behavior from one or more measured vehicles in a vehicular environment. A trust level can then be established for the measured vehicles. An obscured obstacle can be determined using the evasive behavior and the trust level which can then be mapped in the vehicular environment. A guidance input can then be created for the host vehicle using the obscured obstacle and the trust level.
System and method for automated grounds maintenance
A grounds maintenance system comprising: a robot tractor comprising; a robot body; a drive system including one or more motorized drive wheels to propel the robot body; a control system coupled to the drive system, the control system configurable to store a mow plan that specifies a set of paths to be traversed for a grounds maintenance operation and control the drive system to autonomously traverse the set of paths to implement the mow plan; a battery system comprising one or more batteries housed in the robot body; and a low-profile mowing deck coupled to the robot body, the mowing deck adapted to tilt and lift relative to the robot body, wherein the control system is configured to control tilting and lifting of the mowing deck and cutting by the mowing deck.
Guidance apparatus for autonomous vehicle and method therefor
A guidance apparatus for an autonomous vehicle and a method therefor are provided. The guidance apparatus includes a first guidance device that guides a passenger in the autonomous vehicle through first response information, a second guidance device that guides a rescuer outside the autonomous vehicle through second response information, and a controller that controls guidance on the first response information and guidance on the second response information, when abnormality occurs in the autonomous vehicle.
Vehicle cargo cameras for sensing vehicle characteristics
Described herein are systems, methods, and computer readable media for capturing image data of one or more regions of a vehicle (e.g., a cargo area of an autonomous vehicle) at various particular times and assessing the image data to determine whether a past vehicle occupant has left behind one or more belongings of value in the vehicle. If it is determined that a former vehicle occupant has left behind an article of value, an audible message may be outputted from a speaker of the vehicle to inform the former occupant of the presence of the article in the vehicle or a notification may be sent to a mobile device of the former occupant. The audible message may be outputted, for example, while the former occupant is beyond a predetermined distance from the vehicle, but still within range of hearing the message.
Automated responses to vehicle trunk entrapment
Described herein are systems, methods, and computer readable media for capturing sensor data relating to an enclosed compartment of a vehicle (e.g., a cargo area of the vehicle) via one or more vehicle sensors; analyzing the sensor data to determine whether it is indicative of a living being present in the enclosed compartment; performing an object detection analysis on at least a portion of the sensor data to determine a type of living being detected; and initiating one or more automated vehicle response measures based on the type of living being.
Relative speed based speed planning for buffer area
In one embodiment, a method, apparatus, and system for planning the trajectory of an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) in view of an object within a buffer area in front of the ADV is disclosed. A buffer area in front of an ADV is identified. A first object of one or more objects that have entered the buffer area is identified. A first distance cost and a first relative speed cost associated with the first object are determined. A first object cost associated with the first object is determined based on a combination of the first distance cost and the first relative speed cost. A trajectory for the ADV is planned based at least in part on a cost function comprising the first object cost, where the cost function is minimized in the planning. Control signals are generated to drive the ADV based on the planned trajectory.
Defibrillation system for self-driving vehicles
A defibrillation system may include a cardiac arrest detector detecting whether cardiac arrest of a passenger has occurred in a state of taking a seat of a self-driving vehicle and fastening a seatbelt of the vehicle; a passenger posture detection device detecting a posture of the passenger; a seat driving device changing the posture of the passenger into another posture in which the passenger lies down based on a detection signal of the passenger posture detection device when the cardiac arrest of the passenger occurs; a heart position detector configured to search for a position of a heart of the passenger; a defibrillation robot to perform a CPR method or a method using an AED on the heart of the passenger; and a controller controlling operation of the seat driving device, the heart position detector, and the defibrillation robot based on detection signals of the cardiac arrest detector and the passenger posture detection device.
