POWERTRAIN CONTROL TO PRECLUDE THERMAL-RELATED REDUCED OPERATION
A vehicle may include an engine, a traction battery, an electric motor, an electric cooling system, and a controller. The electric motor selectively converts torque from the engine to electric power and converts electric power from the traction battery to drive torque for the vehicle. The electric cooling system, responsive to a temperature of the traction battery exceeding a first threshold, cools the traction battery using the electric power. The controller, responsive to the temperature exceeding a second threshold less than the first threshold and accessory loads exceeding a third threshold, operates one or both of the engine and traction battery to maintain the temperature below the first threshold.
HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME
A system for controlling a hybrid propulsion system includes a computer programmed to obtain altitude and terrain information associated with a predetermined route for the hybrid propulsion system comprising a first energy source and a second energy source. The computer is also programmed to obtain current and forecast ambient weather information associated with the predetermined route of the hybrid propulsion system, determine a power requirement and a torque requirement of the hybrid propulsion system associated with the altitude and the terrain along the predetermined route of the hybrid propulsion system, generate a trip plan to optimize at least one of a plurality of performance parameters of the hybrid propulsion system as the hybrid propulsion system travels along the predetermined route, and preferentially select the first energy source and/or the second energy source based on the trip plan.

A drivability target engine speed is set based on a shift stage based on an accelerator opening level and a vehicle speed and the vehicle speed, and a base driving force is set based on an accelerator required driving force and the drivability target engine speed. When an elapsed time after an accelerator depression amount increases is less than a threshold value, a correction driving force is set based on an increase in accelerator depression amount and an engine, a first motor, and a second motor are controlled such that an effective driving force obtained by adding the correction driving force to the base driving force is output to a drive shaft for a hybrid vehicle to travel.

The object of the present invention is to provide a hybrid construction machine that can quickly warm up an electrical storage device and can improve the service life of the electrical storage device. This hybrid construction machine is equipped with: a prime mover (1); an electric motor that supplements the power of the prime mover (1) and generates electric power; an electrical storage device (8) that transmits power to and receives power from the electric motor; a warm-up circuit (25) that circulates a heating medium heated by waste heat from the prime mover (1) or the electric motor, or by a heater (40), to the vicinity of the electrical storage device (8); a control device that controls charging/discharging of the electrical storage device (8) and circulation of the heating medium of the warm-up circuit (25); and an outside air temperature measurement device that measures the outside air temperature. The control device executes warm-up operation by means of the heating medium, determines whether or not to execute charging/discharging of the electrical storage device (8) for the purpose of the warm-up operation in response to the outside air temperature measured by the outside air temperature measurement device, and conducts warm-up operation in which the warm-up operation by charging/discharging of the electrical storage device (8) is effected simultaneously.
HYBRID VEHICLE
An electronic control unit executes navigation-cooperative SOC control in which traveling situations on a traveling route found through a search performed by a navigation system are predicted and a state-of-charge is controlled by adjusting an output of an engine based on the predicted traveling situations to control charging-discharging of an electricity storage device. The ECU does not execute the navigation-cooperative SOC control when a temperature of the electricity storage device falls below a prescribed temperature and thus charging-discharging of the electricity storage device is limited.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle control system includes a target drive force calculation unit, an arithmetic unit, a stop holding unit, a power-running-generative drive force calculation unit, and a traveling mode selection unit. The arithmetic unit calculates required drive force and required brake force based on target drive force calculated by the target drive force calculation unit. The arithmetic unit calculates the required drive force by setting the required brake force to stop hold brake force or greater if an engine traveling mode is selected at an immediately preceding timing by the traveling mode selection unit. The arithmetic unit calculates the required brake force by setting the required drive force to less than or equal to power-running-generative drive force calculated by the power-running-generative drive force calculation unit if an electric vehicle traveling mode is selected at the immediately preceding timing by the traveling mode selection unit.
Startup control device and startup control method for hybrid vehicle
A startup control device includes a vehicle temperature sensor configured to sense a temperature of the vehicle, a vehicle startup controller configured to select the second vehicle startup mode in a low temperature state in which the temperature of the vehicle is equal to or smaller than at least a first temperature judgment value when the request of the startup of the vehicle is sensed, and to select the third vehicle startup mode in an extremely low temperature state in which the temperature of the vehicle is equal to or smaller than a second vehicle temperature judgment value which is smaller than the first temperature judgment value when the request of the startup of the vehicle is sensed.
