Transmission control device of automatic transmission device
A transmission control device is used in an automatic transmission device including a transmission gear having friction coupling portions that are changed between a coupled state and an uncoupled state, and configuring transmission stages corresponding to a combination of the coupled state and the uncoupled state, and a hydraulic control device. The device includes: a determination unit determining a change in the transmission stage; and an output unit setting a target value of the hydraulic pressure, and outputting the target value to the hydraulic control device. In a case where one transmission stage is changed to another, the output unit increases the target value to a first value for a first friction coupling portion in the uncoupled state in the one transmission stage, thereafter, to a second value smaller than the first value and maintaining the uncoupled state, and thereafter, to a third value greater than the second value.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING A HIGH EFFICIENCY, HIGH OUTPUT TRANSMISSION
A transmission includes an input shaft and an output shaft, the input shaft selectively accepting a torque input from a prime mover, and the output shaft selectively providing torque output to a driveline. A controller determines a shaft displacement angle representing an angle value of rotational displacement difference between at least two shafts of the transmission, and performs a transmission operation responsive to the shaft displacement angle.
High efficiency, high output transmission
A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.

Inching System for a Construction Vehicle
An inching system for a vehicle having a hydrostatic transmission and an engine that drives the transmission. The transmission has a pilot pressure port with a pressure of hydraulic fluid at the pilot pressure port controlling a level of power from the transmission, a beginning of draining of the hydraulic fluid from the pilot pressure port defining an inching starting point. The system includes a brake pedal and an electrohydraulic valve coupled to the pilot pressure port of the transmission, the valve being configured to drain the hydraulic fluid at the pilot pressure port. A sensor is coupled to the pedal to detect an input from the operator, the sensor producing a signal indicative of the input from the operator. A controller receives the signal and a speed of the engine. The controller controls the electrohydraulic valve dependent upon the signal and the engine speed so that the inching starting point is unchanged regardless of the speed of the engine.
Controlling the powertrain of a vehicle
The power train of an electric vehicle includes an electric motor and a gearbox coupling the electric motor to a drive wheel. A controller may be configured to initiate a gear shift in the gearbox, and activate one or both of (a) a torque jog in electric motor, or (b) a burst of a pressurized fluid in an actuator to assist with the gear shift.

Expanded functionality stop-start fuel saving system for vocational vehicles
An engine stop-start fuel saving system for a vocational vehicle propelled by a conventional internal combustion engine and powertrain. The system uses a low storage capacity, rapid recharge, high cycle life electric energy storage device, such as an ultracapacitor. The system also includes a generator that is coupled to the engine and that is connected to recharge the electric energy storage device, as well as a motor that is powered by the energy storage device and that is coupled to the engine. The system also includes a controller that can activate the motor to restart the engine when it is stopped, and engage the generator to recharge the electric energy storage device, and that can subsequently stop the engine again when the electric energy storage device has reached a threshold charge level. The electric energy storage device also powers at least one of: integral vehicle equipment; peripheral vehicle equipment; or an electrical outlet circuit with a socket for external plugin equipment.
