Railroad hopper car body fittings
A railroad hopper car body includes a set of hopper and hopper discharges. Egress of lading from the discharges is governed by movable doors that swing between a closed position and an open position. The motion is driven by a mechanical transmission that is itself driven by an actuator. Each pair of doors is driven by a single actuator. The actuator is mounted to act through the center sill. A portion, or substantially all, of the actuator may be mounted in a predominantly squat, vertical orientation within the center sill. In alternate embodiments, the transmission output may be bifurcated. The center sill bottom flange may be narrower adjacent to the doors. The mechanism may have a secondary lock. The mechanism may have an auxiliary manual release.

RAILWAY HOPPER CAR
Disclosed is a railway hopper car comprising a car body (6), a top cover (1, 2), a bogie (24), a braking device (21), a coupler buffer device (22), and a bottom door (25, 28) and a bottom door opening and closing mechanism (23) mounted at a discharge port at the bottom of a chassis. The railway hopper car further comprises a longitudinal saddle (31) disposed in the center of the car body (6) in the length direction thereof and arranged along the longitudinal direction of the car body (6). By providing the longitudinal saddle (31), the sequential requirement to close the left bottom door (25) and the right bottom door (28) is eliminated, thereby simplifying the structure of the linkage bottom door opening and closing mechanism and reducing manufacture and maintenance costs thereof.

Disclosed is a railway hopper car comprising a car body (6), a top cover (1, 2), a bogie (24), a braking device (21), a coupler buffer device (22), and a bottom door (25, 28) and a bottom door opening and closing mechanism (23) mounted at a discharge port at the bottom of a chassis. Engineering vehicle having ballast unloading device and ballast leveling device
The invention provides an engineering vehicle having a ballast unloading device (100) and a ballast leveling device (200). The engineering vehicle includes a vehicle body (10), and the ballast unloading device (100) and the ballast leveling device (200) arranged on the vehicle body (10). The ballast unloading device (100) includes: a ballast carrying portion (20) provided with ballast unloading openings (21), and the ballast carrying portion (20) being arranged on the vehicle body (10); ballast unloading doors (30) capable of rotating relative to the ballast carrying portion (20), inner unloading passages (31) and outer unloading passages (32) being arranged on the ballast unloading doors (30), the ballast unloading doors (30) further including stop portions (33) located between the inner unloading passages (31) and the outer unloading passages (32). The ballast leveling device (200) includes: a plough piece (220) slidably fixed to the vehicle body (10) so as to ascend or descend relative to the vehicle body (10), and a plough head (224) used for leveling ballasts being arranged on the plough piece (220); a first crank (230) rotationally fixed to the vehicle body (10); a connecting rod (240), with one end being rotationally connected with the first crank (230), and the other end being rotationally connected with the plough piece (220); and a driving part (250) used for driving the first crank (230) to rotate.
Hopper car gate seal
According to some embodiments, a railcar comprises a hopper with a sloped sheet and a discharge door. A first end of the discharge door is coupled to the railcar and pivots the discharge door between closed and open positions. The sloped sheet comprises a discharge end that is in contact with the discharge door when in the closed position. A second end of the discharge door extends beyond the discharge end of the sloped sheet when in the closed position. The discharge door comprises a lip disposed at its second end that extends generally perpendicular to the discharge door and parallel to the sloped sheet when the discharge door is in the closed position. The sloped sheet comprises a gasket coupled to its exterior portion. The lip of the discharge door contacts the gasket when in the closed position.

According to some embodiments, a railcar comprises a hopper with a sloped sheet and a discharge door. A first end of the discharge door is coupled to the railcar and pivots the discharge door between closed and open positions. The sloped sheet comprises a discharge end that is in contact with the discharge door when in the closed position. A second end of the discharge door extends beyond the discharge end of the sloped sheet when in the closed position. The discharge door comprises a lip disposed at its second end that extends generally perpendicular to the discharge door and parallel to the sloped sheet when the discharge door is in the closed position. The sloped sheet comprises a gasket coupled to its exterior portion. The lip of the discharge door contacts the gasket when in the closed position.

A hopper railcar includes a plurality of hoppers for carrying material laden material, wherein each hopper has a lower discharge chute formed by converging side sheets and end sheets defining a transverse opening; and pivoted transverse door for each transverse opening for selectively opening and closing and closed by a pivoted door, the pivoted door having a pivot axis perpendicular to a longitudinal length of the railcar, and lateral deflectors on lateral sides of the doors with each of the deflectors having a side face extending above an interior facing surface of the doors upon which laden flows with the door in the open position. A method of retrofitting hopper railcars to include deflectors is also disclosed.

A bottom door of a carriage includes a telescoping cylinder and at least two sets of door bodies, each set of the door body is provided with one set of driving mechanisms, each of the driving mechanisms includes a rotating shaft and a driving rod, and the rotating shaft is connected with the respective door body by the driving rod, to allow the door body to be driven to rotate when the rotating shaft rotates; each of the rotating shaft is driven to rotate by the telescoping cylinder, and at least two of the rotating shafts are configured to be driven to rotate successively by the telescoping cylinder.
