Running gear frame for a rail vehicle
A running gear frame for a rail vehicle, comprising a frame body. The frame body comprises two longitudinal beams and a transverse beam unit providing a structural connection between the longitudinal beams, such that a substantially H-shaped configuration is formed. Each longitudinal beam has a free end section forming a primary suspension interface. Each longitudinal beam has a pivot interface section associated to the free end section and forming a pivot interface for a pivot arm. Each longitudinal beam has an angled section associated to the free end section, the angled section being arranged such that the free end section forms a pillar section. The pivot interface section is integrated into to the angled section and the frame body is formed as a monolithically cast component made of a grey cast iron material.
RAILCAR TRUCK ROLLER BEARING ADAPTER PAD SYSTEMS
A railcar truck and adapter pad system for placement between a roller bearing and side frame pedestal roof of a three-piece railcar truck. Many different features of the pad and/or the adapter-pad interface are configured to improve stiffness characteristics to satisfy both curving and high speed performance of the railcar truck.

RAILCAR ADAPTER FOR CONNECTING A RAILCAR BODY TO A BEARING
A railcar adapter for connecting a railcar body to a bearing is provided. The railcar adapter includes an adapter body having two lateral channels each delimited by a pair of opposed lugs adapted to cooperate with the railcar body, an inner surface acting as a bearing seat for the bearing and an outer surface in radial contact with the railcar body. The inner surface includes at least one central groove located on a first axis of symmetry of the railcar adapter emerging in each lateral channel. The inner surface further provides a second central groove located on a second symmetry axis of the railcar adapter, perpendicular to the first symmetry axis.
RAILCAR ADAPTER FOR CONNECTING A RAILCAR BODY TO A BEARING
Railcar adapter, for connecting a railcar body to a bearing, having a bearing seat side secured to the bearing and a frame seat side mounted in a bogie frame of the railcar body is provided. The railcar adapter includes a top cover in contact with the railcar body, forming the frame seat side, a bearing seat adapted to be mounted on the bearing, forming the bearing seat side and at least one damping element located between the top cover and the bearing seat.
RAILROAD CAR ROLLER BEARING ADAPTER ASSEMBLY
A railroad car bearing adapter assembly configured to be employed in combination with a high warp restraint truck (with or without an auxiliary or original warp restraint system), and including a low profile thickness and relatively longitudinally narrow roller bearing adapter, a low profile adapter shear pad with a shear stiffness in a range of 85,000 lbs/in to 125,000 lbs/inch, and side wear pad that in combination total clearance in a range of 0.09 inches to 0.36 inches between the side frame thrust lugs and the adapter with the side wear pads. This overall combination reduces wheel wear and damage, reduces fuel consumption, reduces the need for railroad track repair, improves high speed stability and curving performance for both empty cars and loaded cars, provides more truck stability under a loaded car in shallow curves and while encountering certain perturbations, and provides optimum curving performance that enables the axles to better align with curves of relatively high degrees.
