SHOPPING CART
Provided is a shopping cart capable of simplifying equipment of a storage area of the shopping cart. A shopping cart allowed to be nested in a front-rear direction, includes: a cart body; a battery configured to supply power to an electronic device attached to the cart body and displayed commodity information read by a reading device; power receiving units and provided on a front side of the cart body and configured to be electrically connectable to an external power supply device; and power transmitting units and provided on a rear surface side of the power receiving units and configured to supply power to a power receiving units and of another shopping cart nested in the shopping cart.
Shopping cart
According to one embodiment a shopping cart includes an imaging unit configured to acquire images of a surface at a location of the shopping cart and a controller. The controller is configured to detect a boundary pattern in images acquired by the imaging unit. The boundary pattern is painted or drawn on the surface at a boundary between a first area and a second area. Based on the detected boundary pattern the controller determines whether the shopping cart has been moved from the first area to the second area or from the second area to the first area. The controller then controls mobility of the shopping cart based on whether the shopping cart has been moved from the first area to the second area or from the second area to the first area.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSACTIONS AT A SHOPPING CART
Exemplary embodiments provide a system, a method, and computer-readable medium to facilitate a transaction at a shopping cart. A first image of a user's face is captured by a first camera at a device coupled to the shopping cart, and the first image is stored in a database. A second image of the user's face is captured by a second camera when one or more sensors at a fixture detect an item is being removed from the fixture. The second image is analyzed and it is determined that the face in the second image corresponds to the face in the first image. Product information corresponding to the item removed from the fixture is sent to the processing device associated with the user captured in the first and second images. The product information is stored at the processing device for completion of a transaction by the user.
