MOBILE SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR HOLDING AND TRANSPORTING A CONTAINER

A mobile storage apparatus for containers is provided. The apparatus provides a unique support assembly for holding a container. The assembly includes a latch mechanism that allows a clamp of cylinder to be moved from a closed position to an open position which creates clearance around a neck of cylinder to allow it to rotate without falling out of clamp. The other end of apparatus is structurally configured with a release plunger that can be retracted to allow rotation of cylinder along said other end. Rotatable wheels on a user side with a braking mechanism along a handle and a foot ledge allow improved maneuverability and stability.

TROLLEY

A load bearing manual handling trolley apparatus having a frame, a base that includes a front face, a rear face and two connecting faces, a wheel located at each corner of the base, a brake mechanism with a wheel unit and wheel brake apparatus for engaging the wheel unit. The brake mechanism is located on the base and the wheel unit includes two wheels. The trolley also includes a plurality of handle members and a plurality of cables connecting handle members to the brake mechanism, and arranged to communication with the wheel brake apparatus. Each of the plurality of handle members have a first end and a second end, the first end is fixed to the frame and the second end is movable relative to the frame. The brake mechanism is affected by moving the second end. The plurality of handle members include an engaged configuration and a disengaged configuration.

A hand-driven, wheeled carrier deceleration device, applied to an axle of a hand-driven, wheeled carrier, is introduced and has a wheel, driven gear, reluctance motor and resistive component. The wheel, pivotally disposed at the axle, has a drive gear which rotates together with the wheel. The driven gear, disposed beside the axle, meshing with and driven by the drive gear, has a connection portion. The reluctance motor, connected to the connection portion and driven by the driven gear, has permanent magnets and metal elements. The metal elements and permanent magnets are arranged annularly. The metal elements rotate relative to the permanent magnets. The resistive component electrically connects to the permanent magnets. Therefore, a driving force exerted on the hand-driven, wheeled carrier is partially offset by reluctance to effectively slow down the hand-driven, wheeled carrier.

MOBILE MOTORIZED CARGO CONTAINER WITH SELECTIVELY DEPLOYABLE CONTROL SYSTEMS

An Urban Intermodal Freight System is capable of transporting large volumes and tonnage of freight by containerized or other means on a mass transit rail system. It captures excess capacity in the existing mass transit rail infrastructure to move packages, parcels, and freight by using miniaturized intermodal cargo containers that are designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing transit infrastructure, while displacing delivery trucks from increasingly crowded city streets. By enabling inbound trucks to transfer their cargo to the Urban Intermodal Freight System at a city's outskirts, freight is delivered without trucks entering congested downtown areas, greatly alleviating traffic congestion, delays, greenhouse gas emissions and other negative environmental impacts. The Linear Loading Dock and Conveyor System may have other useful applications, for example to access a facility, building or vehicle, or in other circumstances where off street truck parking or loading docks are not available.
