Lawn care vehicle with rear wheel steering assembly
09650070 · 2017-05-16 · ·

A riding lawn care vehicle may include a frame and a steering assembly. Wheels of the riding lawn care vehicle may be attachable to the frame. The steering assembly may include a steering wheel operably coupled to rear wheels of the riding lawn care vehicle via a cable system. The cable system may include a first cable portion, a second cable portion and a pulley assembly. The first and second cable portions may each contact a steering column pulley at respective first ends of the first and second cable portions. The steering column pulley may be configured to pull a corresponding one of the first cable portion or the second cable portion based on a direction of rotation of the steering wheel. The first and second cable portions may each be in operable communication with a steering disc at respective second ends of the first and second cable portions. The steering disc may provide translation of movement of the first cable portion and the second cable portion into corresponding movement of the rear wheels. The pulley assembly may be configured such that each pulley of the pulley assembly handles both the first cable portion and the second cable portion as the first cable portion and the second cable portion are conveyed from the steering column pulley to the steering disc to translate motion of the steering column pulley to the steering disc.

Steering column of a vehicle

A vehicle steering column includes first and second shaft parts respectively coupled to an intermediate piece via first and second joint disks. The joint disks are configured such that when the steering column is in an uninstalled state, the first and second shafts are substantially coaxial, and when the steering column is in an installed state, the first and second shafts form a non-zero inclination angle via elastic deformation at the joint disks.

STEERING COLUMN PRODUCED FROM FIBRE-COMPOSITE AND ON THE BASIS OF PULTRUSION, BRAIDING AND/OR WINDING TECHNOLOGY

The invention relates to a steering column for a motor vehicle comprising a steering shaft which is mounted in a steering shaft mounting unit and is rotatable about a longitudinal axis, and comprising a support unit for connecting the steering shaft mounting unit to the body of the motor vehicle. At least one component of the steering column is composed at least partially of a fibre-reinforced composite material and the component lies in the flux of force between the steering column and the body. The component is provided with at least one pultrusion layer which has multiple fibres produced by pultrusion as reinforcing fibres, said fibres being oriented parallel to one another in the direction of the longitudinal axis.

A steer by wire type steering apparatus according to the embodiments of the present disclosure comprises a steering shaft coupled to a steering wheel to rotate, a steering sensor for detecting a rotation direction of the steering shaft, an electronic controller for operating a steering motor in forward and reverse directions according to the rotation direction sensed by the steering sensor, a first pulley provided on a shaft of the steering motor, a second pulley provided on the steering shaft, a driving belt coupled to the first pulley and the second pulley, and a belt support member that rotationally supports one side of the driving belt and is coupled to a reduction gear housing.

STEERING COLUMN FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

A steering column for a motor vehicle comprises a steering shaft that is mounted so as to be rotatable about its longitudinal axis relative to a housing, and a rotation limiter which is designed to limit the rotation of the steering shaft relative to the housing and has a flexibly deformable belt element which is fixed to the housing, is elongate in a belt direction, extends in a flat manner transversely thereto in terms of its belt width, is able to be wound on a winding core connected to the steering shaft, and comprises a fabric made of plastics fibres which comprise warp threads extending in the belt direction which are woven together with weft threads extending transversely to the belt direction. In order to allow improved functional and operating properties of the rotation limiter, the warp threads may comprise first warp threads which comprise a first polymer material and second warp threads which comprise a second polymer material.
