Airbag device and vehicle
An airbag device includes: an airbag body that is configured to deploy toward a front side of a driver; and a control unit that is configured to deploy the airbag body using a first deployment method when a central axis of a rim portion of a steering member of a vehicle is in a first state and a deployment condition is satisfied and deploy the airbag body using a second deployment method in a second state when an inclination angle of the central axis in relation to the central axis in the first state exceeds a threshold and the deployment condition is satisfied.
Motor vehicle
An operating arrangement for a vehicle includes a steering column retractable into and extendable out of a dashboard, a steering shaft that is retractable and extendable relative to the steering column, a steering wheel on an end of the steering shaft, and a steering column module arranged on the steering column between the steering wheel and the dashboard. The steering column module has a screen positioned behind the steering wheel. In a manual vehicle driving mode, the steering column is extended out of the dashboard to position the steering wheel and the steering column module away from the dashboard. In an automatic (or autonomous) vehicle mode, the steering column is retracted into the dashboard to position the steering column module against the dashboard and the steering shaft is retracted relative to the steering column to position the steering wheel adjacent the dashboard with the screen resting against the steering wheel.
Steering device
Please substitute the new Abstract submitted herewith for the original Abstract: Provided is a steering device in which a pair of tension springs is arranged on both outer sides in the width direction of a pair of support plate portions of a support bracket. The pair of tension springs applies a force directed diagonally upward toward the front to a base portion of an adjustment lever and a pressing plate arranged at both end portions of an adjustment rod, and elastically presses the front side surface of an engaging convex portion of a driven-side cam against a front side edge of a long hole in the up-down direction.

Vehicle having multiple driving positions
Vehicles, steering systems, and steering assemblies of a vehicle are provided in the present disclosure. According to one embodiment, a steering system includes a track oriented substantially in a side-to-side direction with respect to the vehicle. The side-to-side direction may be substantially horizontal with a ground surface and substantially perpendicular with a forward-facing direction of the vehicle. The steering system also includes a steering wheel adapted to slide laterally along the track. In another embodiments, the present disclosure provides a vehicle comprising a steering wheel assembly adapted to be positioned in laterally variable locations with respect to the vehicle, whereby the steering wheel assembly is further adapted to enable a driver to manually operate the vehicle from a left-hand side of the vehicle and from a right-hand side of the vehicle.
Steering column device
A steering column device includes a cylindrical inner tube, and a cylindrical outer tube which is fixed to the inner tube by being externally fitted to slide in an axial direction of the inner tube and being elastically reduced in diameter, wherein the outer tube is configured to have a first slit and a second slit to be reduced in diameter. A stress alleviation portion is provided at the second slit. A contour shape of the stress alleviation portion is set to include an elliptic arc-shaped portion of which a direction of a major axis is a direction intersecting the second slit.

Steering assembly
A steering assembly for a machine is provided. The steering assembly includes a frame. The steering assembly also includes a steering column mounted on the frame. The steering column includes a steering input device and a controller communicably coupled to the steering input device. The steering assembly further includes a steering wheel operably coupled to the steering column. The steering wheel is disposed adjacent to the steering input device.
STEERING WHEEL CONTROL SYSTEM
A steering wheel control system associated with a vehicle includes a steering wheel movable between a stowed position and a deployed position, wherein, in the deployed position, the steering wheel is centrally located relative to an operator of the machine. The steering wheel control system also includes a sensor assembly configured to generate a control signal pertaining to a position of the steering wheel. The steering wheel control system further includes a control module communicably coupled with the sensor assembly. The control module is configured to receive the control signal corresponding to the position of the steering wheel. The control module is also configured to control at least one operation of the vehicle based on receipt of the control signal from the sensor assembly.
COLUMN COVER UNIT
A column cover unit may include: a column cover configured to cover a steering column of a vehicle and comprising a first cover portion and a second cover portion, wherein a boundary between the first cover portion and the second cover portion extends from a front end of the column cover at a front portion of the vehicle toward a rear portion of the vehicle; and a contact member configured to separate the first cover portion and the second cover portion from each other at the boundary by contacting the column cover when the column cover is moved toward the front portion of the vehicle with the steering column.
