A sprinkler controller in a poultry house having a processor, a data storage device operatively connected to the processor, the data storage device having instructions for programming the processor, and an input/output module operatively connected to the processor. The input/output module is configured to communicate with at least one valve for controlling a flow of fluid between a fluid source and at least one sprinkler nozzle. The at least one valve has an open position permitting the flow of fluid, and a closed position inhibiting the flow of fluid, and the position of the valve being determined by the processor. The processor is programmed to set the valve in the open position at a start of an activity promotion interval, and to set the valve in the closed position at the end of the activity promotion interval. The duration of the activity promotion interval is selected such that a sufficient amount of fluid is dispersed through the sprinkler nozzle to promote physical activity in the poultry. The start of the activity promotion interval is predetermined based on a frequency of operation parameter indicative of a number of activity promotion intervals in a time period, and a value for the frequency of operation parameter being selected to promote growth of the poultry.

The disclosure relates to a spray applicator system for accurately and precisely dosing liquid formulations, including vaccines and probiotic formulations, to caged avian animals. In particular, the disclosure relates to spray applicators, having improved acceptance by the avian animals, relative to more disruptive prior spray applicators. The disclosed automated caged spray applicator system is designed to attach to and function with automated poultry feeding systems, routinely used in poultry house settings.

A birdbath basin having a body and a lighting assembly. The lighting assembly includes a light-emitting body. A bottom portion of the body protrudes inwardly into the body to form a chamber. The light-emitting body is provided inside the chamber. Chamber walls of the chamber are formed as a first luminous body which is translucent. Lights emitted by the light-emitting body may converge and focus on the surfaces of inner walls of the body after passing through the first luminous body. The basin-shaped body is placed outdoors. Water and bird food can be held in the basin. In daytime, the light-emitting body does not light up. Birds can clean their feathers and peck at the bird food in the basin, which is environmentally friendly and energy saving.

The present invention is directed to a method of treating poultry hatchlings in a hatchling tray. The method comprises of providing a soft gel form capable of being dispensed through a spray nozzle, providing a spray dispensing apparatus, the apparatus being capable of delivering a predetermined volume of the gel as a plurality of small beadlets through a plurality of nozzles, placing the hatchling tray containing the hatchlings beneath the nozzles of the dispensing apparatus, dispensing the predetermined volume of the soft gel containing the therapeutic agent as small beadlets into the hatchling tray and allowing the hatchlings to consume the beadlets. The present invention is also directed to a dispensing apparatus for dispensing a therapeutic agent in a soft gel into a hatchling tray of poultry hatchlings.

A birding accessory assembly includes a birding accessory, such as a bird bath, a pole for supporting the bird bath on the ground or other surface, and a removably interlocking feature between the bottom face of the accessory and the top end of the pole. The interlocking interface can include a plurality of knobs projecting from the bottom face of the accessory and a cam plate mounted on the pole. The cam plate defines a like plurality of ramp segments to receive the knobs. With the knobs disposed within the ramp segments, the accessory is rotated so that the knobs advance toward a lower end of the ramp segments. A side opening at the end of each segment receives a boss projecting from each knob to snap or click into engagement. An array of magnets carried by the cam plate can magnetically engage a metal plate integrated into the bottom face of the accessory.

A liquid supply system (900) in which one or more nipples (920) and one or more sprinklers (930) are all connected to a same set of piping (111) that provides livestock consumable liquid. A nipple provides an amount of liquid responsive to an interaction by the livestock with the nipple. A sprinkler sprays or sprinkles liquid responsive to some predetermined criteria/criterion being met, so as to controllable spray/sprinkle the liquid. In this way, the same liquid is provided for consumption by the livestock as it sprayed by the sprinkler.

A water exchange device for a birdbath comprises a stanchion and a head. A first passageway extends entirely through the length of the stanchion body from an upper end to a lower end. Also, at least one stanchion duct extends from the first passageway exiting the stanchion body at a stanchion duct aperture. The head is fixedly secured to the stanchion body so as to be positioned spaced from, and not covering the stanchion duct aperture(s). A second passageway extends from a base of the head into the head body forming a through connection with the first passageway. The head also includes at least one head duct extending from the second passageway in an angled direction toward the base of the head body, exiting the head body at a head duct aperture.
