UTILITY MACHINE OPERABLE IN STAND-ON AND WALK-BEHIND MODES

A utility machine, such as an outdoor power equipment unit such as a lawn mower, includes a work unit performing work in addition to motive power for the utility machine and a trailer occupied by an operator in a standing position. The operator may seamlessly step onto the trailer to operate the machine in stand-on mode and step off the trailer to operate the machine in walk-behind mode. The trailer remains in the deployed condition in both stand-on mode and walk-behind mode.

Steer/brake system

A steer/brake system for a vehicle (with wheels and/or tracks) is disclosed. The system may comprise a steering system with an operator control and braking system for each side of the vehicle with a master cylinder for the brake mechanism and an interface between the braking system and the operator control. Operation may provide a phase where the interface is at least partially engaged and force may be applied through the interface to the master cylinder to engage the brake mechanism to provide modulation for the operator control. A steering emulation system may comprise the interface and a compliant element configured to provide modulation for the operator control. The system may comprise a shared hydraulic system; the brake mechanism may comprise the steering brake mechanism and the service brake mechanism.

Articulated wheel loader and method of controlling the steering operations of an articulated wheel loader

A method of steering an articulated wheel loader including a front body portion and a rear body portion, the front body portion including a bucket and a pair of front wheels. The rear body portion is pivotally coupled to the front body portion and includes a pair of rear wheels. The method includes steps of: providing a steering command to steer the wheel loader; detecting an angle that a front longitudinal axis of the front body portion forms with a rear longitudinal axis of the rear body portion; and when the detected angle is greater than a threshold automatically implementing a steering brake function to independently brake one of the pair of front wheels or rear wheels that is on a steering side to reduce a speed of the braked wheel to zero so that the braked wheel becomes a pivot point to minimize a turning radius.

Feed-forward compensation to manage longitudinal disturbance during brake-to-steer

A number of illustrative variations may include a system and method of controlling vehicle slowing while implementing brake-to-steer functionality that may include providing a feed-forward gain on vehicle propulsion torque to achieve or maintain target longitudinal acceleration and replicate the behavior of a vehicle not using brake-to-steer. The system may manipulate propulsion of the vehicle to manage longitudinal acceleration disturbance and speed disturbance during brake-to-steer.

A method may include, by an apparatus, sensing at least one beam; initiating a channel occupancy time based on the sensing; transmitting at least one first downlink transmission on the at least one beam during the channel occupancy time, wherein the at least one first downlink transmission on the at least one beam triggers at least one first uplink transmission on the at least one beam during the channel occupancy time; receiving the at least one first uplink transmission on the at least one beam during the channel occupancy time; determining interference condition on the at least one beam based on the at least one first uplink transmission; and scheduling at least one second downlink transmission or at least one second uplink transmission on the at least one beam with restriction during a rest of the channel occupancy time when the interference condition meets at least one threshold requirement.

WORKING MACHINE

A working machine includes a machine body, a traveling device travelably supporting the machine body, a hydraulic driving device to hydraulically drive the traveling device, a floor frame supported on the machine body via a mounting member, a pedal operable to brake the traveling device, the inching valve to change a flow rate of hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic driving device according to operation of the pedal, and a cable operably connecting the pedal to the inching valve. The pedal and the inching valve are attached to the floor frame.
