According to one aspect of the present disclosure, the steering apparatus includes a housing in which a rod slidably provided in an axial direction for wheel steering is accommodated and a sensor coupler passing through an inner surface and an outer surface to expose a part of the rod is provided, a rotation preventer coupled to the rod through the sensor coupler to be moved together with the rod and supported in a width direction of the housing to limit rotation of the rod, a damper coupled to the rotation preventer to be disposed between the sensor coupler and the rotation preventer, a magnet holder coupled to the rotation preventer to be moved together with the rod and provided with a magnet, and a sensing unit coupled to the sensor coupler and including a sensor configured to sense a position of the magnet.
