Autonomous driving control method and device
A method for controlling autonomous driving in an autonomous vehicle includes: determining whether a human driver is in a forward gaze state under an autonomous driving mode, setting a first steering wheel torque threshold and a first torque holding time, based on a result of determining whether the human driver is in the forward gaze state, determining whether human driver intervention has occurred, based on the first steering wheel torque threshold and the first torque holding time, and switching the autonomous driving mode to a manual driving mode when the human driver intervention has occurred.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE TRAVELING
The autonomous LC control is started in response to receiving a start instruction of autonomous lane change. When the driver performs a steering intervention in a same direction as a direction of steering requested by the autonomous LC control, and establishment of a stop condition of lane change is not recognized, during execution of the autonomous LC control, the autonomous driving control is continued. When the steering intervention in the same direction is performed, and establishment of the stop condition is recognized, during execution of the autonomous LC control, termination of the autonomous driving control is announced.
Vehicle collision alert system and method
An impairment analysis (“IA”) computer system for detecting an impairment is provided. The IA computer system is associated with a host vehicle, and includes at least one processor in communication with at least one memory device. The at least one processor is programmed to: (i) interrogate or otherwise scan a target vehicle by using a plurality of sensors included on a host vehicle to scan the target vehicle and a target driver; (ii) receive sensor data including target driver data and target vehicle condition data; (iii) analyze the sensor data by applying a baseline model to the sensor data; (iv) detect an impairment of the target driver or target vehicle based upon the analysis; and/or (v) output an alert signal to a host vehicle controller, or direct collision preventing actions (such as automatically engage vehicle safety systems), based upon the determination that the target driver or target vehicle is impaired.
Steering control method and steering control device
A steering control method including: applying a steering reaction force obtained by adding a first steering reaction force according to a steering angle of a steering wheel and a second steering reaction force according to a steering angular acceleration of the steering wheel to the steering wheel; determining a possibility that an emergency steering operation of the steering wheel by a driver will be performed; and when it is determined that there is the possibility of the emergency steering operation being performed, making the second steering reaction force small compared with when it is not determined that there is the possibility of the emergency steering operation being performed.
SELF-LEARNING-BASED INTERPRETATION OF DRIVER'S INTENT FOR EVASIVE STEERING
Evasive steering assist (ESA) systems and methods for a vehicle utilize a set of vehicle perception systems configured to detect an object in a path of the vehicle, a driver interface configured to receive steering input from a driver of the vehicle via a steering system of the vehicle, a set of steering sensors configured to measure a set of steering parameters, and a controller configured to determine a set of driver-specific threshold values for the set of steering parameters, compare the measured set of steering parameters and the set of driver-specific threshold values to determine whether to engage/enable an ESA feature of the vehicle, and in response to engaging/enabling the ESA feature of the vehicle, command the steering system to assist the driver in avoiding a collision with the detected object.
TARGET VEHICLE RECOGNITION APPARATUS AND PROCESSING METHOD OF THE TARGET VEHICLE RECOGNITION APPARATUS
A target vehicle recognition apparatus for recognizing a target vehicle as a target to be avoided by steering control of a host vehicle detects a stopped vehicle located in front of the host vehicle, determines whether the stopped vehicle is in a forward-facing state to the host vehicle or a rearward-facing state to the host vehicle, determines whether the stopped vehicle is in a right boundary line deviation state crossing a right boundary line of a travel lane of the host vehicle, a left boundary line deviation state crossing a left boundary line of the travel lane, and recognizes the target vehicle for steering control based on a captured image captured by a front camera of the host vehicle and each of the determination results.
Vehicular collision avoidance system
A vehicular collision avoidance system includes a forward-viewing camera, a rearward-viewing camera, a rearward-sensing non-vision sensor and an electronic control unit. The vehicular collision avoidance system detects vehicles present forward and/or rearward of the equipped vehicle. Responsive to at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) data processing of image data captured by the rearward-viewing camera and (ii) data processing of sensor data captured by the rearward-sensing non-vision sensor, the vehicular collision avoidance system detects another vehicle approaching the equipped vehicle from the rear, determines that the other vehicle is traveling in the same traffic lane as the equipped vehicle, determines speed difference between the vehicles, and determines distance from the equipped vehicle to the other vehicle. Based on such determinations, the system determines that impact with the equipped vehicle by the other vehicle is imminent.
Vehicle contact avoidance assist system
In a vehicle contact avoidance assist system (1) for providing assistance in avoiding an obstacle located ahead of a vehicle including a contact avoidance control unit (15) configured to perform an obstacle avoidance operation upon detecting an obstacle located ahead of the vehicle, the obstacle avoidance operation including a steering of the steerable wheel via the steering actuator so as to avoid the obstacle, the contact avoidance control unit is configured to apply a restriction on the obstacle avoidance operation depending on a detected gripping state detected by a steering wheel gripping state detection unit (8).
ALWAYS ON LATERAL ADVANCED DRIVER-ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
A method includes, in response to an ignition on signal: determining, using one or more sensors, whether a host vehicle is moving from a first lane to a second lane; determining, using one or more sensors, whether an object is in at least one of a blind zone of the host vehicle and in the second lane within a threshold distance of the host vehicle; in response to a determination that an object is in at least one of the blind zone of the host vehicle and in the second lane within the threshold distance of the host vehicle, performing at least one operator assistance maneuver; and, in response to a determination that an object is not in at least one of the blind zone of the host vehicle and in the second lane within the threshold distance of the vehicle, not performing the at least one operator assistance maneuver.
