REMOTE PARKING SYSTEM
A remote parking system includes: a terminal configured to transmit a ranging signal; plural reception units configured to detect an arrival direction of the ranging signal; a control device configured to acquire a distance from the terminal to a vehicle based on the arrival direction of the ranging signal detected by at least two of the reception units and to move the vehicle toward a parking position in a case where the control device determines that the acquired distance from the terminal to the vehicle is equal to or less than a prescribed threshold; and a transmission antenna fixed to the vehicle and configured to transmit the ranging signal. The control device is configured to determine a failure of at least one of the reception units based on the ranging signal transmitted from the transmission antenna and received by the at least one of the reception units.
METHOD OF POSITIONING VEHICLE DURING PARKING OPERATION
A method of positioning a vehicle during a parking operation includes positioning a vehicle in a parked position during a first parking operation, and detecting a distance of the vehicle from an object when the vehicle is in the parked position. The distance is stored in a vehicle memory. The distance from the object is recalled during a second parking operation with the vehicle. An indication is provided during the second parking operation when the vehicle is spaced from the object by the distance.
PARKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A parking assistance device for resetting a parking path when an obstacle is on the parking path includes a pull-out path computing unit that computes a pull-out path for pulling the vehicle out of the parking space based on parking space information and constraints regarding vehicle behavior, a candidate connection position setting unit that sets a plurality of candidate connection positions on the pull-out path, a reachable path computing unit that computes a reachable path for allowing the vehicle to reach at least one of the candidate connection positions from the initial position, a parking path setting unit that sets a parking path of from the initial position to the parking space by connecting the pull-out and reachable paths, and a path resetting unit that computes a parking path of from the stop position to the parking space, and sets the computed parking path as a new parking path.
Reverse driving assistance system
A reverse driving assistance system assists a driver in steering a towing vehicle having a trailer. The system has an operating element for specifying a target articulation angle, a sensor device for detecting the current articulation angle of the vehicle-trailer combination, a display unit at least for displaying the specified target articulation angle, and an electronic control unit connected to the aforementioned components. The control unit also has an evaluation unit for recognizing an implausible specification of the target articulation angle and a protection unit for restricting the reverse driving assistance functionality if an implausible target specification is recognized. An implausible specification of the target articulation angle can be recognized at least by detecting the frequency of the change in direction of the operating element within a predetermined time and by comparing the detected value with a defined threshold value. The reverse driving assistance functionality is restricted if an implausible target specification is detected as a result of this threshold value being exceeded.
Vehicle driving assistance device and parking control system including same
According to an embodiment, a vehicle driving assistance device mounted in a vehicle comprises: a memory for storing an identification of a vehicle; a visible light communication unit for modulating the identification stored in the memory, and outputting the modulated identification through visible light; and a processor for activating the visible light communication unit when the vehicle enters a parking lot entrance gate, and performing control such that the visible light including the identification of the vehicle is outputted according to the activation of the visible light communication unit.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
A vehicle control device includes a parking space candidate detection unit configured to detect a parking space candidate that is a candidate for a parking space where an own vehicle is parked, using a vehicle peripheral image acquired from a camera; a leaving path detection unit configured to detect, using the vehicle peripheral image, a leaving path on which another vehicle that is parked in an other vehicle parking space located in a periphery of the parking space candidate leaves the other vehicle parking space; and a nuisance parking determination unit configured to perform nuisance parking determination including determining, for each detected parking space candidate, whether the parking space candidate overlaps with the detected leaving path, and thereby classifying the parking space candidate into a nuisance parking space that overlaps with the leaving path or a non-nuisance parking space that avoids overlapping with the leaving path.

A reverse driving assistance system assists a driver in steering a towing vehicle having a trailer. Vehicle and trailer backup guidance system
A trailer maneuvering guidance system for a vehicle includes vehicle-based cameras disposed at a vehicle and a trailer camera disposed at a rear portion of a trailer hitched to the vehicle. A control includes a processor that processes image data captured by the cameras. A display screen is disposed in the vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. The display screen displays images derived from captured image data, with the displayed images including bird's-eye view images of a region at least partially surrounding the vehicle and trailer including an area rearward of the trailer. Responsive to a user input selecting a target path in the displayed images, the control, via processing of captured image data, generates instructions for the driver of the vehicle to follow to maneuver the vehicle and trailer along the selected target path and toward a target location.
Driving assistance system for reversing a mining haulage vehicle
