AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE NAVIGATION USING LOW POWER RADIOS
A navigation system for a parking area comprises a plurality of nodes and a server communicating with the nodes. Each node comprises a camera capturing images of the parking area and a low power radio transmitting a radio signal. The server analyzes the images to propose a parking space and provides an arrival sequence of waypoints to the parking space. Each of the waypoints comprises strength and time of flight values of the radio signals.
Parking assist device and parking assist system
A parking assist device for assisting parking of a vehicle, includes: a detecting unit that detects whether there is any obstacle and detects available parking areas for the vehicle, on the basis of a taken image of the surrounding area of the vehicle; and a selecting unit that selects an available parking area where the vehicle is parked with low risk of contact with the obstacle, from the detected available parking areas, on the basis of whether there is the obstacle.
PARALLEL PARKING ASSISTANT
The present disclosure relates to parking systems and parking methods. One parking system may include: a vehicle having an accelerator, brakes, wheels, sensors, a display, a processor, and memory; a parking assist program stored in the memory and configured to: receive dimensions of a parallel parking spot and the vehicle, project, based on the received dimensions, whether the vehicle can: exit the parallel parking spot with a future leading block, and exit the parallel parking spot with a future trailing block.
Parking assistance system and parking assistance method
A parking assistance system includes: a color/IR detector which detects, from a camera image captured with a camera, marker candidates that are areas in each of which an intensity of a color component or an infrared (IR) component exceeds a threshold; a marker position calculator which calculates positions of the marker candidates in the camera image; and a validity verifier which determines whether the marker candidates are valid as the markers, based on the positions of the marker candidates and a predetermined positional relationship of the markers.
Parking assist system
A parking assist system parks a vehicle at a target parking position by automatically steering an EPS. The parking assist system includes a acquiring unit configured to acquire the position of the vehicle, a position determining unit configured to determine the target parking position, a generating unit configured to generate a path from the position of the vehicle to the target parking position, a detecting unit configured to detect the temperature of the EPS, and a assist unit configured to automatically steer the vehicle so as to move along the path generated by the generating unit. The generating unit generates a path in which a degree of stationary steering by which the vehicle is steered in a state where the vehicle stops is small when the temperature of the EPS is high, compared with when the temperature of the EPS is low.
PARKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A parking assistance device includes a detection unit that detects a parkable area in a surrounding area of a vehicle, a route calculation unit that calculates a parking guidance route for guiding the vehicle from the current position of the vehicle to a parking target position contained in the parkable area, and a control unit that guides the vehicle to the parking target position according to the parking guidance route, completes the guidance when the vehicle has fit into the parkable area with a certain attitude and has reached the parking target position, and varies a completion extension period until the guidance of the vehicle is completed according to the stop mode of the vehicle when the vehicle has entered the parkable area with the certain attitude and the vehicle has stopped before reaching the parking target position.
PARKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND PARKING ASSISTANCE METHOD
A parking assistance device according to an embodiment includes a determination unit that determines, when the parallel parking of a vehicle in a parking area is assisted, whether the parking space length of a frontage that the vehicle enters in the parking area is the sum of the full length of the vehicle and a certain length or more and a control unit that performs parking assistance for the vehicle along a route in which stationary steering control is not performed at a turning position of the vehicle when the parking space length is the sum of the full length of the vehicle and the certain length or more.
Location based parking management system
A method to provide an active parking system includes receiving, at a portable computerized device, parking preferences of a user for a parking facility of a retail store, determining, within a parking space index server, an availability status of each of a plurality of parking spaces of the parking facility, identifying, within a computerized device, a preferred parking location for the user based upon the parking preferences and the availability statuses, and displaying, at a computerized display, directions for the user to navigate to the preferred parking location.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, MOTOR VEHICLE, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
A motor vehicle has a parking assistance system with an output device which outputs acoustic and/or visual information as an aid when parking in an activated state and which does not output said information in a deactivated state. In a learning mode, the parking assistance system learns exceptions in which either an automatic changeover is carried out between the activated state and the deactivated state as an exception or an automatic changeover is not carried out between the activated state and the deactivated state as an exception, and/or a manual changeover is detected between the activated state and the deactivated state by the parking assistance system. When a specified changeover characteristic for a manual changeover between the activated state and the deactivated state is detected, a recommendation is output for a changeover between an automatic mode and a manual mode of the parking assistance system, wherein an automatic changeover is carried out between the activated state and the deactivated state in the automatic mode, and the automatic changeover is not carried out in the manual mode.
VEHICULAR TRAILER ASSIST SYSTEM
A vehicular trailer assist system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and viewing a portion of a trailer hitched at a hitch of the vehicle. During a reversing maneuver of the vehicle and hitched trailer, the vehicular trailer assist system, responsive to processing at an electronic control unit (ECU) of image data captured by the camera, determines a trailer angle of the trailer relative to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Based at least in part on the determined trailer angle, the vehicular trailer assist system determines a trailer direction of movement of the trailer while the vehicle is reversing with the trailer hitched at the hitch of the vehicle. The vehicular trailer assist system determines a virtual destination location rearward of the trailer and in the determined trailer direction and controls steering of the vehicle to reverse the trailer towards the virtual destination location.
