The vehicle parking assist apparats allows a user of a vehicle to request a deletion of the parking lot information as the vehicle parking assist apparatus executes the parking assist control without using the parking lot information and prevents the user of the vehicle from requesting the deletion of the parking lot information as the vehicle parking assist apparatus executes the parking assist control with using the parking lot information. The vehicle parking assist apparatus deletes the parking lot information when the deletion of the parking lot information is requested.
Control unit and method for determining a trajectory for a reversing assistance system
A control unit for a reversing assistance system of a vehicle is configured to determine and to store reference data in relation to a first forward travel of the vehicle, wherein the reference data indicate a reference trajectory of the vehicle for the first forward travel from an initial position as far as a first end position. In addition, the control unit is configured to detect that the vehicle begins a new, second forward travel at an intermediate position, which lies between the initial position and the first end position on the reference trajectory. The control unit is further configured to determine reference data in relation to the second forward travel of the vehicle, wherein the reference data indicate the reference trajectory of the vehicle for the second forward travel, starting from the intermediate position. The control unit is also configured to connect the reference data relating to the reference trajectory of the second forward travel, starting from the intermediate position, with the reference data relating to the reference trajectory of the first forward travel from the initial position as far as the intermediate position, in order to provide a coherent reference trajectory for assisted reversing.
Vehicular trailer assist system
A vehicular trailer assist system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and having a field of view exterior of the vehicle. A control includes a processor for processing image data captured by the camera. The control, responsive to processing at the control of captured image data, determines a trailer angle of a trailer hitched to the vehicle. Responsive to determining the trailer angle, the control determines a trailer direction that is based at least in part on the determined trailer angle. The control is operable to determine a virtual destination location that is a location that is a predetermined distance from the trailer and in the determined trailer direction. Responsive to determining the trailer direction, and during a reversing maneuver of the vehicle and trailer, the control controls steering of the vehicle to direct the trailer in the determined trailer direction toward the virtual destination location.

Trailer reverse assist system with trailer recognition
A trailer reverse assist (TRA) system for a tow vehicle aids in reversing an attached trailer. The TRA system includes a processor circuit; at least one camera to obtain images of the trailer; and vehicle dynamic sensors to obtain vehicle dynamics data from the vehicle. The processor circuit, while the TRA system is in a standby, non-active state and while the vehicle is in Drive and traveling forward at a speed above a threshold speed: learns parameters and/or image features of an attached trailer based on data from the at least one camera and the vehicle dynamic sensors; causes the learned parameters and/or image features of the attached trailer to be stored in a database; and informs the driver via the infotainment system that the TRA system can be activated.

A parking assist device includes: a storage unit that stores a position of a specific parking space which is one of parking spaces where a vehicle is capable of being parked; a detection unit that detects a parking space from a captured image obtained by imaging the vicinity of the vehicle by an imaging device; a determination unit that determines that the detected parking space is the specific parking space in a case where a distance between the position of the detected parking space and the position of the specific parking space is equal to or smaller than a first threshold value; and a display process unit that causes the detected parking space to be displayed on a display unit while being highlighted in a case where it is determined that the detected parking space is the specific parking space.
