FRONT STRUCTURE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A front structure of a motor vehicle includes: a bulkhead extending between an engine compartment and a passenger compartment; two front side members connected to the bulkhead; a steering ball joint provided in the bulkhead and projecting into the engine compartment, the steering ball joint having a base and an oblong orifice provided in the base and defining an edge extending around the oblong orifice facing the engine compartment; and a rack installed in the engine compartment and a rack seal designed to engage between the rack and the steering ball joint. The structure also includes a planar annular part surface mounted on the edge and extending around the oblong orifice in order to be able to extend the reception range of the rack seal.
Vehicle-body structure
A reinforcing member is provided inside a closed cross section of a front side frame at a position, in a vehicle longitudinal direction, which corresponds to a forming position of a bead. The reinforcing member extends between an outward side wall portion and an inward side wall portion of the front side frame. The reinforcing member is joined to the outward side wall portion and the inward side wall portion of the front side frame. A joint length, in the vehicle longitudinal direction, of the reinforcing member and the inward side wall portion is set to be longer than that of the reinforcing member and the outward side wall portion.
POWER UNIT MOUNTING STRUCTURE
There is provided a power unit mounting structure including: a power unit mounted at an upper side in a vehicle vertical direction relative to a pair of side members, the side members being spaced apart in a vehicle width direction at a vehicle front side or a vehicle rear side relative to a passenger compartment; a pair of upper side vehicle body structural members of which at least portions are disposed at outer sides in the vehicle width direction at the upper side in the vehicle vertical direction relative to the side members; and a brace that spans between the pair of upper side vehicle body structural members at the upper side in the vehicle vertical direction relative to the side members, the brace supporting a bottom portion of the power unit at the side thereof that is further from the passenger compartment in the vehicle front-and-rear direction.
Device for sealing the air intake of a motor vehicle, corresponding front-end module and motor vehicle
The invention relates to a device (1) for sealing an air intake of a motor vehicle, comprising: at least one sealing means (3) intended to be arranged in an air intake of the motor vehicle, and a support (5) for the sealing means (3) in order to retain the sealing means (3) and intended to be attached on a load-bearing structure of the motor vehicle. According to the invention, the support (5) comprises damping guidance means (15) for the sealing means (3) in order to allow, in the event of an impact on the sealing means (3), the movement of the sealing means (3) from an initial retaining position to a position retracted with respect to the initial position. The invention also relates to a front-end module for a motor vehicle comprising such a sealing device.
Vehicle incorporating a deformable front frame structure
A vehicle, including: an electric motor operatively connected to at least one driving wheel of the vehicle, and a frame structure including first and second side members extending in a longitudinal direction along opposite sides of the vehicle and at least one cross member extending in a transversal direction of the vehicle and being connected to the first and second side members, wherein the electric motor is supported by the frame structure such that the electric motor is arranged in a front portion of the vehicle in association with a pair of front wheels of the vehicle, and wherein each of the side members, at least along a deformable section thereof, is configured to deform by bending in an inwards and/or outwards transversal direction when compressed by a longitudinally directed force exceeding a threshold value, such as in case the vehicle is subject to a sufficiently energetic frontal collision.
Longitudinal crash beam receiver
A crash beam receiver for coupling to a crash beam for reducing the effects of a vehicle collision. The crash beam receiver includes a plurality of surfaces that are coupled together to form a hollow opening for receiving the crash beam. The crash beam receiver also includes a gate structure for providing a stopping point for the crash beam when the crash beam is inserted into the crash beam receiver. The gate structure includes a left gate, a right gate, and a protrusion structure that help to linearize the self-collapsing process of the crash beam in the longitudinal direction. The protrusion structure has a certain thickness such that the crash beam is caused to collapse inward toward its center in the event of a vehicle collision.
Front vehicle body structure
A bumper reinforcement has a bracket to which a brace is attached. A radiator support member has an attachment seat. The direction of an attachment surface of the bracket to which the brace is attached is the same as the direction of an attachment surface of the attachment seat to which the brace is attached. A through-hole having a long-hole shape to cope with the variation of the distance between through-holes of the attachment surfaces is formed in the brace.
Vehicle body front structure and impact absorbing method of vehicle body front structure
In a vehicle body front structure, a sub frame is fixed to front mount brackets and rear mount brackets of a pair of front side frames. A power unit is arranged on the front side of the sub frame in the vehicle body, and the power unit is supported by the pair of front side frames. A tilt surface is formed on the sub frame, and the tilt surface tilts to ascend toward the rear of the vehicle body. A rear portion of the power unit faces the tilt surface.
Vehicle body front part structure
A vehicle body front part structure includes: a pair of left and right front side frames extending in the vehicle front-rear direction; and a front bulkhead connected to front ends of the front side frames. The front bulkhead includes: a pair of upper and lower lateral members extending in the left-right direction; and a pair of left and right vertical members extending in the up-down direction so as to connect ends on the outer sides in the vehicle width direction of the lateral members to each other. A forward extension part extending toward the front of the vehicle is provided at a lower end of the vertical member. A first load transmission member located on a more outer side in the vehicle width direction than the front side frame is fixed to the forward extension part.
Front active spoiler apparatus for vehicle
A front active spoiler apparatus for a vehicle may include a spoiler housing fixed to a front end module and having a duct protruding forwards and configured to guide air flow; a spoiler lip configured to operate to open or close the duct; an actuator configured to connect the spoiler housing and the spoiler lip to operate the spoiler lip; and a controller configured to control the operation of the actuator using vehicle speed information.
