AUTOMOBILE INNER PANEL AND AUTOMOBILE PANEL

In an automobile inner panel and an automobile panel that includes the automobile inner panel, panel rigidity of the panel is secured while achieving a weight reduction. An automobile inner panel 2 has a plurality of sub-units 10 that each include a flange 11, an inclined wall 12 continuous with the flange 11, and a bottom portion 13 continuous with inclined wall 12 and separated from the flange 11. The bottom portions 13 and 13 of the sub-units 10 and 10 which are adjacent to each other are butted against each other and are directly continuous with each other. A maximum value of a distance D1 between two of the flanges 11 and 11 of two of the sub-units 10 and 10 in which the bottom portions 13 are arranged separated from each other and which are adjacent to each other is 250 mm or less.

A joined structure, including: two members made of materials having different coefficients of linear expansion; and an adhesive layer arranged between the two members to join the two members together, wherein the adhesive layer includes at least an end portion in one direction parallel to a plane direction of the adhesive layer and a center portion in the one direction, and a thickness in the end portion is greater than a thickness in the center portion.

LATCHING MECHANISM FOR A CLOSURE PANEL USING MULTIPLE LATCHES
20210354630 · 2021-11-18 ·

A latching mechanism for facilitating opening and closing of a closure panel of a vehicle, the latch mechanism comprising: a first latch mounted in a first location to one of a body of the vehicle and the closure panel, the first location positioned on a first side of the vehicle, the first latch coupling the closure panel to the body of the vehicle when engaged with a corresponding first mating latch component; a second latch mounted in a second location to one of the body and the closure panel, the second location positioned on a second side of the vehicle, the second latch coupling the closure panel to the body of the vehicle when engaged with a corresponding second mating latch component; wherein one of the first latch and the second latch is maintained in a latched state and the other of the first latch and the second latch is in an unlatched state when the closure panel is moved between an open position and a closed position.

HOOD FOR A VEHICLE

A hood for a vehicle having a latch support bar that extends transversely to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The latch support bar is arranged on the inner side of the hood in the front region in the direction of travel. The latch support bar is arranged symmetrically with respect to the outer skin of the hood. The latch support bar has a latch element. The latch element produces a detachable connection of the hood to the vehicle, which can be detached by an operating element. The latch support bar is connected to the hood at a minimum of two fastening points spaced as far apart from one another as possible in order to reliably absorb lateral applications of force. In this way, reliable retention of the hood is advantageously ensured.

VEHICLE HOOD

A hood for a vehicle is movable between an open position and a closed position for covering a vehicle compartment. The hood includes a hood body having an exterior facing surface and an interior facing surface. A first bracket attached to the interior facing surface of the hood body includes a bottom end having a downward opening slot a rotatable hinge attached to the vehicle in the vehicle compartment for moving the hood body between the open position and the closed position. A second bracket is attached to the vehicle in the vehicle compartment. The second bracket is attached to a distal end of the rotatable hinge and includes a weld stud extending laterally from a side of the second bracket. The first bracket is seated on the weld stud during installation of the hood.
