INSTRUMENT PANEL STRUCTURE
A reinforcement is bridged between left and right front pillars of a vehicle, and includes: a first pipe arranged at a driver-seat side; and a second pipe having a diameter smaller than a diameter of the first pipe and arranged at a passenger-seat side. A protector is attached to the reinforcement and accommodates a wire harness routed along the reinforcement. An instrument panel is held by the reinforcement and arranged between the left and right front pillars. In a case where a driver seat is positioned on a right side of the vehicle, a locking portion on a right side of the protector is locked in a mounting portion of the first pipe. In a case where a driver seat is positioned on a left side of the vehicle, a locking portion on a left side of the protector is locked in the mounting portion of the first pipe.
Stepped pipe member and stepped pipe member production method
Formed in series along an axial-direction end portion of a large-diameter pipe member, in the following order from the pipe end, are: a large-diameter-pipe pipe-end expanding portion; a large-diameter-pipe reduced-diameter portion; a large-diameter-pipe bulging portion; and a tapered portion. Formed in series along an axial-direction end portion of a small-diameter-pipe member, in the following order from the pipe end, are: a small-diameter-pipe pipe-end expanding portion; a small-diameter-pipe enlarged-diameter portion; and a small-diameter-pipe bulging portion. The outer cylindrical surface of the small-diameter-pipe enlarged-diameter portion is in close contact with the inner circumferential surface of the large-diameter-pipe reduced-diameter portion; the inner cylindrical surface of the large-diameter-pipe bulging portion and the outer circumferential surface of the small-diameter-pipe pipe-end expanding portion are engaged; and the inner circumferential surface of the large-diameter-pipe pipe-end expanding portion and the outer cylindrical surface of the small-diameter-pipe bulging portion are engaged.
VEHICLE SUBSTRUCTURE PREVENTING DASH PANEL FROM DEFORMATION TOWARD COMPARTMENT
A vehicle substructure includes: a floor panel placed in a tense state between a floor tunnel and a side sill; a front pillar extending in a vehicle up-down direction from a front end of the side sill. The vehicle substructure further includes: a lower dash panel arranged at a front portion of the floor panel; and a lower dash crossmember extending in a vehicle width direction at a lower end of the lower dash panel. The lower dash crossmember has an inner end in the vehicle width direction thereof coupled to the floor tunnel and an outer end in the vehicle width direction thereof coupled to the front pillar.
Assembly of an aluminum component and of a press hardened steel part having an alloyed coating comprising silicon, iron, zinc and magnesium, the balance being aluminum
An assembly of an aluminum-based part and a press hardened steel part provided with an alloyed coating including in weight percent, 0.1 to 15.0% silicon, 15.0 to 70% of iron, 0.1 to 20.0% of zinc, 0.1 to 4.0% of magnesium, the balance being aluminum, on at least one of the surfaces thereof placed so as to be in contact with the aluminum-based part.
Hybrid cowl cross bar and method of manufacturing the same
The present invention relates to a hybrid cowl cross bar manufactured through an improved method of performing an insert injection molding without applying hydraulic pressure to the inside of a metal pipe during injection molding in order to simplify a manufacturing process of a hybrid cowl cross bar and to secure rigidity of the cowl cross bar. According to an aspect of the present invention, a reinforcing material is inserted into a metal pipe that is a material of a cowl cross bar. The metal pipe may be made of a material such as aluminum, magnesium, or steel, like a conventional cowl cross bar. The reinforcing material may be manufactured by extruding a synthetic resin or a composite material (for example, PP+GF50%). A rib may be formed inside the reinforcing material to increase a capability to resist injection pressure when the metal pipe is insert-injected and to secure rigidity.
Front vehicle body structure
A front vehicle-body structure may include a pair of front side members each disposed in a vehicle length direction at both sides of a front vehicle-body, a pair of mounting brackets each engaged with a corresponding front side member among the pair of front side members and disposed to protrude from an internal panel of the corresponding front side member in a width direction of the vehicle to face each other, a cross bar having an upper surface, a front surface, and a rear surface, having a cross-section having an open bottom side and an open lateral end portion, and engaged with the mounting bracket in a vehicle height direction thereof, and an engagement unit of engaging the cross bar to the pair of mounting brackets with a predetermined gap between the pair of front side members and the lateral end portion of the cross bar.
DASHBOARD PANEL VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE WITH ENHANCED LOAD PATH CONNECTIVITY
Provided is a dashboard panel vehicle-body structure with enhanced load path connectivity, the structure including a transverse member configured in such a manner that a first end portion thereof overlaps at least one portion of a front pillar of a vehicle and extends in a widthwise direction of the vehicle up to a dashboard panel, wherein the transverse member is configured to extend up to an outer edge of the front pillar.
Vehicle
A vehicle includes a dash cross member, a rocker that is connected to an end portion of the dash cross member, and a reinforcement that reinforces a connected portion of the dash cross member and the rocker. At the connected portion of the dash cross member and the rocker, the dash cross member, the rocker, and the reinforcement are disposed to be overlapped with each other, and a plurality of first weld portions and a plurality of second weld portions are provided. The dash cross member and the rocker are welded to each other at each of the first weld portions. The rocker and the reinforcement are welded to each other at each of the second weld portions. The first weld portions and the second weld portions are arrayed so as not to be overlapped with each other.
Instrument Panel Support Structure
An instrument panel assembly comprising: a crossmember (2) including a first beam (4) and a second beam (6), a center support assembly (8) with a first structural arm (30), a second structural arm (32), and a center support bracket (34); wherein the first beam (4) is hollow and has a larger diameter than the second beam (6), and the second beam (6) is adapted to slide into the first beam (4).
