Fender Flare for Vehicles
20200031404 · 2020-01-30 ·

A fender flare for attachment to a fender of a vehicle, the fender flare having a flap and a support system operatively connected to the flap to attach the flap to the fender. The support system has a trim having or being capable of adopting a U-shaped configuration. To improve connection to the fender, the support system can have a carrier embedded within the walls of the trim or protrusions projecting from the walls of the trim to facilitate a gripping action of the walls against the fender. Fasteners can also be used to facilitate securement of the support system to the fender. A thinned segment between the trim and the flap can be used to eliminate certain distortions in the fender flare and for efficient packaging. A seal projecting obliquely from the first wall at a top end of the first wall may be used to keep debris out.

Protective Barrier on a Wheelhouse Liner
20200001931 · 2020-01-02 ·

A protective barrier for fortifying a portion of a vehicle wheel house liner includes the wheel house liner having an arching shaped molded main body with opposing ends configured for providing a barrier between a tire and a wheel house cavity. A ballistics material patch is integrally molded with a predetermined portion of the molded main body and is configured to provide a protective barrier between the tire and a vehicle body structure.

Actively actuatable wheelhouse liner assembly

An automotive vehicle includes a body with a front portion, an underbody portion, a wheelhouse disposed in the underbody portion, and a front fascia disposed at the front portion. The wheelhouse is provided with a liner. A movable member is disposed between the wheelhouse liner and the front fascia. The movable member has a venting position and a barrier position. In the barrier position the front fascia, movable member, and wheelhouse liner define a generally contiguous surface, and in the venting position the movable member is displaced at least partly away from the body relative to the barrier position. An actuator is coupled to the movable member and configured to actuate the movable member between the venting position and the barrier position. A controller is configured to control the actuator to move the movable member to the barrier position in response to a first operating condition being satisfied.

WHEEL ARCH WITH OPTIMIZED WHEEL ARCH LINING

Wheel arch for a motor vehicle with a wheel arch housing component for at least partially delimiting the wheel arch for a vehicle wheel of the motor vehicle, and with a wheel arch lining which is arranged on the surface of the wheel arch housing component facing the wheel and extends at least partially along this surface, the wheel arch lining having at least one support layer and one fiber layer, wherein the support layer forms the outer side of the wheel arch lining facing the wheel and the fiber layer is arranged between the wheel arch housing component and the support layer and the support layer and the fiber layer are thermally bonded to one another and formed into a wheel arch lining and wherein at least 50%, preferably at least 65%, preferably at least 80% of the surface of the fiber layer is in contact with the wheel arch housing component.

Wheel well cover for a motor vehicle, and motor vehicle equipped therewith

An optically and aerodynamically improved body for a motor vehicle has a wheel well cover with at least one wheel well for receiving a wheel. The wheel well cover is designed in such a way as to be adjustable by an adjusting mechanism in accordance with the wheel angle, and includes at least two ring portions which surround part of the wheel and which are arranged in such a way as to be movable at least partially into each other and at least partially relative to one another.

Mudflap with aerodynamic improvement
11952045 · 2024-04-09 · ·

Mudflap in a wheel arrangement for a vehicle such as a truck or a utility vehicle or a trailer, the mudflap comprising a plate, arranged substantially in a vertical position, the plate being attached to a support in the vehicle, a front side being oriented toward the wheel, and a rear side oriented away from the wheel, the plate having a plurality of holes and closing member(s), wherein each closing member exhibits a rest position in which the closing member closes holes at the rear side thereof, and a deflected position in which a dynamic air pressure pushes the closing member away from its rest position, thereby allowing air to pass through the hole, and thereby reducing the aerodynamic drag of the mudflap.

OPTIMISED WHEEL ARCH LINER
20190308667 · 2019-10-10 ·

Wheel arch liner for a vehicle comprising at least a structural porous fibrous layer extending longitudinal in a curved shape with a front end and a rear end wherein the porous fibrous layer is at least partly corrugated wherein the corrugations comprises alternating grooves and ridges and wherein at least the ridges are situated at the inner side of the curve shaped porous fibrous layer and wherein the grooves and ridges extend longitudinal transversal to the longitudinal curved shape.

LAWN MOWER FENDER
20190308668 · 2019-10-10 ·

A fender for a lawn mower having tire wheel assemblies that are mounted to a yoke of a swivel caster assembly, whereby the yoke pivots through 360 degrees of rotation, includes an arcuate fender body. The fender body is attached is attached to the yoke by a bracket so that it is rotatably carried by the rotating yoke. As such, the fender body is maintained at an optimal position relative to the mower tire, and thereby provides desirable deflection of lawn clippings and other debris from the various operational components provided upon the mower deck. This prevents the premature wear of such operational components, thereby decreasing down time and reducing maintenance costs of the mower.

PROTECTIVE FLAP
20190300068 · 2019-10-03 ·

A protective flap for a vehicle that runs along the arc of the wheel well and is longer than the arc such that a first end of the device is flush with the front end of the wheel well while the second end of the device protrudes out from the rear end of the wheel, thereby forming a flap. The protective flap is dimensioned to cover the entire width of the wheel well along the entire contour of the wheel well. At least a portion of the protective flap is also wider than the width of the wheel well and protrudes from the side of the wheel well. The rear flap and side protruding portion act to block debris that may be hurled out by the vehicle's wheels as the vehicle travels over wet or loose terrain.

VEHICLE FENDER STRUCTURE FOR EASY STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
20190291784 · 2019-09-26 ·

A vehicle fender structure for easy storage and transportation comprises a plastic molded body and a positioning element. The body is in an arcuate shape and has a surface. The surface is provided thereon with a plurality of protruding parts that are of different sizes for strengthening the body. The surface has two corresponding sides respectively provided with a lateral wall. Each lateral wall is provided with a plurality of partially broken sections, and two sides of each partially broken section are respectively formed with a positioning part. In this way, when the body is pressed downwardly, the partially broken section is expanded to form a gap, by which the body's height is lowered. The positioning element is used to interconnect the two positioning parts of each partially broken section and enclose the partially broken section of the body when the body's arcuate shape is restored.
