Vehicle protection system to secure a protective covering to an axle of a vehicle
A system for protecting the body and frame of a vehicle from flying debris, particularly during a tire blowout includes a mounting apparatus configured to secure a protective shield, which may be a protective plate and/or fender, to an axle of a vehicle. In embodiments, the protective plate may be mounted to the axel via a mounting apparatus, and the fender may further be mounted to the mounting apparatus and/or protective plate. In some embodiments, the protective plate may be mounted directly to the axel, and the fender may further be mounted to the protective plate, whereby the plate may serve as the mounting apparatus.
Mud Flap Assembly for Secure Attachment
Mud flap assemblies including a frame, a securing assembly and mud flap panels; the securing assembly enabling the frame to be secured to a hitch assembly having a shaft, for further attachment to a hitch receiver secured to a vehicle; the frame having two side portions secured to a center portion to which the securing assembly is attached. The center portion of the frame is preferably configured to rest on a portion of a bumper of the vehicle to minimize vibration of the frame during use. The frame includes two side portions having channels within which reside at least a portion of fasteners that attach mud flap panels to each of the respective side portions. Methods of installing mud flap assemblies and attaching the flap panels are also disclosed.
SIDE COMPONENT, AND VEHICLE HAVING A SIDE COMPONENT
A side component is provided for fastening to a vehicle frame. The side component has a receiving region for a vehicle trim panel, in particular a rear trim panel, and a receiving region for a wheel arch liner. The side component further is configured for receiving an air filter.
Adjustable assembly of a mobile bodywork panel with a fixed bodywork panel
An assembly of a vehicle fixed bodywork panel and a support part for this fixed bodywork panel, comprising one adjustment means in translation of the fixed bodywork panel comprising: a translation member engaging said support part along a member translation axis; a through hole arranged into a first portion of the bodywork panel, the member translation axis being offset from the through-hole, and; a translation coupling element for the translation member and the fixed bodywork panel engaging the through hole, so that moving the translation member along the member translation axis causes a translation of the fixed bodywork panel relative to the support part in a translation direction allowing the fixed bodywork panel to be in a desired position, e.g. flush with a mobile bodywork panel.
Offset deforming fender attachment bracket
A vehicle including a fender panel support assembly includes a hood that at least partially covers an engine compartment. A front fender structure includes a connecting wall portion located at least partially below the hood in a vehicle vertical direction. A side structural member extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction. An offset deforming fender attachment bracket mounts the front fender structure to the side structural member. The offset deforming fender attachment bracket includes a fender attachment portion connected to the connecting wall portion of the front fender structure at a connecting location. A support leg is connected to the side structural member. The support leg extends toward the side structural member from a lateral edge of the fender attachment portion. The support leg includes an apex portion connected to the lateral edge of the fender attachment portion that is spaced outboard from the connecting location in a vehicle lateral direction.
TAPERED CLIPS
A tapered clip comprises a base; and a clip body connected to the base and moveable relative to the base. The clip body includes a clipping member, and the clipping member includes a clip surface having a first clip edge and a second clip edge next to the first clip edge. The first clip edge forms a first angle with a plane that is perpendicular to a clip engagement direction and the second clip edge forms a second angle with the plane.
Plastic fender for coping with thermal deformation
A plastic fender is provided for coping with thermal deformation. Additionally, an apparatus is provided which makes an effect of allowing the plastic fender to move to cope with thermal deformation, by integrally forming a bellows shape with a mounting portion of the plastic fender. The plastic fender includes a hood line portion, a bumper line portion, and a door line portion. Additionally, mounting portions are formed along an edge of each of the hood line portion, the bumper line portion, and the door line portion, respectively. The plastic fender includes a bellows-shaped portion that is formed on the mounting portions and is moveable to cope with the thermal deformation.
Detector attachment structure for vehicle
Resin plate-shaped mudguards 11 are disposed on vehicle width direction outer sides of left and right side members 7 below a cab. A cab rear member 12 is fixed to a vehicle body frame 5 and extends upward from the vehicle body frame 5 to support a rear end side of the cab from below. Mudguard brackets 17 for supporting the left and right mudguards 11 are fixed to an upper end portion of a support member 15L of the cab rear member 12. The mudguard 11 is disposed forward of the mudguard bracket 17 and supported by the mudguard bracket 17. A BSM radar 10 detects information of an object around a vehicle, is disposed on a vehicle width direction outer end portion behind the mudguard 11, and is fixed to a second bracket 19 of the mudguard bracket 17 via a radar bracket 20.
