The vehicle body structure includes: cowl side frames (64) coupling upper ends of hinge pillars (45) constituting the longitudinal ring-shaped vehicle body frameworks (SLC) to the suspension towers (65) in a vehicle longitudinal direction; and side part panels (71) connected to the cowl box (62) and coupled to the suspension towers (65).

VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE

A vehicle body structure includes a body side section (1) configured of a first composite component (10) and a body lower section (2) configured of a second composite component (20). Each of the first and second composite components (10, 20) comprises a metal plate (11, 21) and a fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (12, 22) that contains discontinuous fibers. The fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (12) of the first composite component (10) includes a lining layer formed on the metal plate (11) and reinforcing ribs raised from the lining layer. The fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (22) of the second composite component (20) includes a planar portion (24) infilled in an opening (23) opened on the metal plate 21. The discontinuous fibers in the fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (22) of the second composite component (20) are longer than the discontinuous fibers in the fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (12) of the first composite component (10).

A vehicle body structure includes: a supported frame disposed frontward or rearward of a vehicle cabin along a longitudinal direction of a vehicle; a support frame disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the vehicle cabin along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and configured to support an end portion of the supported frame closer to the vehicle cabin; a stiffener disposed in the support frame along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and configured to form a closed cross-section with the support frame; and a bulkhead disposed in the support frame, adjacent to a portion of the stiffener closer to the supported frame, and facing the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. An upper edge portion of the bulkhead is integrally formed as a single piece with an end portion of the stiffener closer to the supported frame.

VEHICLE-BODY FRONT STRUCTURE INCLUDING A REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE AND A FLOOR REINFORCEMENT

A vehicle-body front structure includes a partition wall portion which demarcates a space inside a vehicle cabin, a motor arrangement portion which is formed by causing a part of the partition wall portion to bulge to an inside of the vehicle cabin and in which at least a part of a traveling motor is capable of being arranged, a reinforcement member which is inclined to be positioned lower toward vehicle rear, and a floor reinforcement which extends in a vehicle front-rear direction. A closed cross-section is configured with the motor arrangement portion, the reinforcement member, and the floor reinforcement.

VEHICLE-BODY FRONT STRUCTURE INCLUDING SIDE FRAME PROTRUSIONS

A vehicle-body front structure includes a front-side battery frame which is provided in a front of the battery casing 10a pair of left and right side frames which extend from the front-side battery frame toward vehicle front to be positioned on vehicle-width-direction outer sides toward front, a pair of left and right impact absorption members in front of the side frames, a front member between the left and right impact absorption members, and left and right projections arranged between the left and right side frames and the left and right impact absorption members and protrude to the vehicle-width-direction outer sides of fronts of the left and right side frames, respectively.

BODY STRUCTURE FOR AN ELECTRICALLY OPERATED VEHICLE

A body structure for an electrically operated vehicle, having an installation space for a traction battery, which space is open toward the vehicle bottom in the vertical vehicle direction, is delimited toward the vehicle top by a floor pan part that forms the vehicle floor, and is delimited on both sides in the transverse vehicle direction by a rocker panel that delimits a side-door opening toward the vehicle bottom, wherein a front body longitudinal member that transitions into the respective rocker panel toward the rear of the vehicle in the longitudinal vehicle direction extends on each vehicle side in the front-end region, and wherein the relevant front corner of the traction battery is enclosed by an interior corner region, in particular right-angled interior corner region, that stretches between the rocker panel and the front battery cross member.

Vehicle occupant injury prevention structure

An injury preventing structure located in a vehicle is provided and comprises a lower member and an upper member which distribute impact of a vehicle, and a panel which forms a bottom surface of the vehicle, in which the upper member and the lower member are in contact with the panel to form a dosed cross-section between each member and the panel, and a position at which the panel is in contact with a rear end of the upper member and a position at which the panel is in contact with a front end of the lower member at least partially overlap each other to form a collision transformation support shaft. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent injury of the legs of a first or frontrow occupant even with a reduced cross-section of the upper member. It is additionally possible to further reduce the first row space of the vehicle, thereby also securing the rear seat and cargo loading space.
